  1. No get a Pro Qualifier or Carbonlite those are the two best bc reels that bps makes. Dual brakes and very easy for a beginner to use.
  2. I was thinking more in the 60-85 range as opposed to the 115-165 ive seen. I know cf isnt cheap I used to have a car with a lot of cf on it.
  3. JFrancho do you know of any options that arent a lot of money? If not I know a guy who makes prosthetic parts for people and uses a lot of carbon fiber maybe I can make a cast of the handle and see how much it would cost to replicate it.
  4. will it fit shimano reels?
  5. Is there anywhere to get cf handles for curados that don't cost 150$?
  6. I dont want to tip off anybody else thay may live near me. After I get the others in I will post the store. I will say its been mentioned here before lol.
  7. Went back and got 4 more curados cam get two more citicas from nearby stores so I may swoop them all up they had a 201elil citica on clearemce as well for you leftys
  8. Went to a local sporting good store today to get a couple packs of Owner hooks and ended up with 5 curados 200e7's and a 200e citica just under 300$. Needless to say I am pretty excited and forgot to get the hooks so I gotta go back tomorrow.
  9. I will add a few of mine even though they arent as good as the rest of you guys. Your skills make me look like a small child finger painted them! These are what I have come up with, but I have more ideas and hopefully some better brush control. When I get some time I need to get back into the booth!
  10. we should make this sticky!
  11. Tournament pro is my best and favorite. Bc I've owned
  12. I have 832 15/4 braid on a 6'9 ml/mf spinning rod I use for dropshot and small cranks in lakes and rivers for smallmouth and largemouth it works great.
  13. Awesome work, those look really good.
  14. Dang, those look amazing, I love the natural bluegill the most!
  15. :Casting: 7'3 MH F Veritas // Patriarch 7.1 // 50lb braid - "flippin stick // Heavy cover (2) 7' M Mod fast Veritas // BPS PQT 6.3.1 // 12lb Flourocarbon - Cranking and open hook finesse (2) 6'9 MH XF Veritas // Lews Tournament Pro 7.1 // 15 and 17lb Flourocarbon - Tex rig and jigs :Spinning: (2) 6'9 ML Mod fast Veritas // Stradic Ci4 2500 // 15lb 832 6lb cxx leader - Drop Shots (2) 7' Med Fast Veritas // Stradic Ci4 2500 // 8lb Flouro - Tube/shakey head Will be converting to all lews tournament pros as funds become available.
  16. I would be very interested in that, let me know.
  17. Landed this on a 7' m mod fast veritas throwing topwater popper I have 7 veritas now and I love them! Everybody has different likes, these rods with reels fit my hands awesome.
  18. I fish whatever technique how I am comfortable doing so. I like a ML moderate fast for dropshots on my spinning tackle. I use MH crankbait rods for my spinnerbait rods. I use a MH XF for my tex rig/worm and light jigs. Thats what I like to use while others may use different. My ds rods have 10-15lb briad with a 6-8lb flouro leader. I used 14-17lb co poly for spinnerbaits, and braid with flouro leader or straight braid for my trig/worm.jig rods.
  19. I picked up a couple of these rods because I thought I could get away with using it for light texas rigs and jigs. It feels almost MH and the tip seemed a little faster than mod fast. I figure it could make a good spinnerbait rod, shallow med cranks perhaps, lipless even. What are your thoughts from the people who have/had used this rod.
  20. I have a 7'3 MH Veritas with a patriarch 7.1 and berkely fireline braid for the milfoil patches around here. I just thought about the braid so I could use an alberto knot and tie on a bunch of florocarbon over the braid and save $$ on line if thats possible.
  21. Ok here is my deal, I ended up with some veritas rods, 7' M feels more like a MH and I will be using it for light texas rigs, 3/8oz at the heaviest, mostly 3/16oz and 1/4oz I have some 14lb flouro I can spool on my lews tournament pro reel (which balances perfect with the veritas) or should I go braid with flourocarbon leader? Mostly will be fished around light vegitation docks and rocky shoreline. Your suggestions are all welcome, I used to be braid only guy and just started switching to flourocarbon.
  22. Lews tpro tt review I am gonna give this reel a shot.
  23. I am not loaded, but I have never owned a "high end" rod and I have been working 5 months straight with tons of ot and no days off, so I want to treat myself to something really nice. I was also thinking the custom route with those st croix scv blanks and micro guides.
