Well, I stumbled onto an awesome deal.... I helped a friend out today and told him no charge. He ended up dropping a 75$ Gander Mt. Gift card in my mailbox. So I went there with the intent or grabbing one of those Pflueger Summit's I had inquired about in my previous thread. I saw the patriarch and it was on clearance, since it was the only one left. I talked the manager into giving me a discount on top of the 15% it was off of clearance price which made it 25% iff the clearance price. Long story short is I ended up with a Pflueger Patriarch for $2.37 out of my own pocket. I was pretty happy and the reel feels super smooth. Its a 7:1 Gear wide spool model. I picked up some of the fireline braid to try with it since that was cheap as well. If I dont like it, I will spool it back with power pro.

Disagree, Ive lost very few fish fishing red eye shads with braid. I havnt seen any difference going between yo zuri, or flouro.

I may order a couple of these and have them shipped up to the cabelas near me.

JF, my friend has similar stuff happen to him. Although non -fishing related. He has a problem with his hands where he sweats more than normal and its slightly more corrosive. We do sheetmetal/hvac and you should see his tools. I replace my stuff every couple of years and his tools are corroded/rusted in 6 months if he doesnt wear gloves. It is one of the craziest things ive seen.

I really wanted a revo stx the local place had them on clearance for 125.99 and I missed out. I want a nice Dual break reel with 7.1 for around 130. The summit was 139 had 7.1. I could get a carbon lite if the drags are interchangeable.

Anybody have one? I saw one today that has dual breaking, seemed pretty smooth, a lil on the heavy side, but that doesnt concern me to much. Those who have or have used them whats your view/take.

This is good advice, I figured this out on accident. I dropped the tape on my shirt and noticed is had less tack. I would imagine you could use frisket as well, but I have never used it.' Hair dryer is very important. assorted mesh's for scale patterns. You can use manilla envelopes for makin lines or gills. I use engineer stencil (ill post pics) works well.

I use owner ST trebles, Imo there isnt a more sharp hook for the money. I get them at Janns for 3.97 per pack.

HOw did you get it to twist like that? I tried that and I couldnt get it to do that. Maybe I am using the wrong tools.

I think I know what you mean, but do you have pics? I am more of a visual type of person. Also do you have a particular place you get spinner bodies from? Janns near my house has some nice ones, but I want 1/2oz not 3/8.

How do you bend the wire for the top blade at the open end of the wire? I am trying the find the easiest and most effective way, though about getting it tight and adding a drop of epoxy or jb weld, so the swivel and blade has no way of coming out.

Looks really good! I havnt gotten to touch my projects much. I have a lot of broken stuff around the house to fix, most recent is my furnace which turned into a whole new project lol.

Ive been using my red eyes since they came out. Before that I was using rattle traps! The red eyes have been one of my most productive lures the past few seasons.

I like my tour PT more than any shimano I own, I think my energy is on par with my e7. I love my pro qualifiers and Pro lites, I will be going to those almost exclusively!
