Same reels or Different reels?
After seeing another thread i got to wondering who here uses different reels and who uses the same reels. Me personally i have different ones, i have a pfleuger trion, daiwa procaster, 2 BPs pro qualifiers (1 ltd), and a BPS rick clunn. My reason for having different reels is mostly deals i've gotten and really i just didn't know what i liked.

Full or Split grip?
Hmm, interesting to see that a lot of you do not consider the grip to be an important part of the rod. I understand the need for a good blank and action and all that but there is only 1 part of the rod that you actually come into contact with on a constant basis, and that is the grip. As for me it is a very important part, its what connects me(via my hands) to my tool(the rod) and for comfort and confidence i prefer full cork grips. Probably the longest answer to a simple question you'll ever see

New NFL hitting rules
Wow, some interesting stuff here. IMO the players do not go out on the field "thinking" about the consequences of playing football. They go out to prove that they are the best at something. Regardless of what anyone was told or taught the object of the game is to tackle the other player for 1 play at a time, not hurt or injure for a lifetime or game or even ten minutes and if they do intentionally then they deserve a suspension and what ever legal ramifications may come because of it. I love football (mostly college) just as much as everyone else, but i do see a need to enforce the rules more aggressively in order to protect the players that are entertaining us.

OHIO ST. ?????????????
Sorry Sam i live in gamecock country and i just don't see them holding on to go to the SEC championship game. This would be there best year to do it though, i'm betting that Georgia will make a comeback :-/ .

Stand up Bass raider.
SWEET!! Thanks red....All the info i need and more I thought you didn't buy into the standing and fishing , too narrow you said. No, i said said that i didn't believe that they were made to stand in , which is something you stated. The middle part (for me), is to narrow to stand in for long periods, which is why i want to widen the area for standing by putting a deck across the entire width of the boat. If you read my original post, you will see that i actually want to stand and fish. Sorry for the confusion.

Stand up Bass raider.
Its not really for more height but width. I'm not sure i agree with the "made to stand in " part cause if you've ever been in one clearly they are not made that way. The middle part is very narrow and uncomfortable to stand in for very long. Plus i was thinking i could add some cutouts to the plywood to hold a battery and maybe make a small tackle compartment. But i guess my issue is stability and i would hate to do all that work just to find out it isn't stable enough to do.

Which do you think a bass prefers?
I choose shad/baitfish. My experience has been that most of my fish have come on those type lures and I have heard numerous times that the blue back herring(bait fish in my waters) are like filet mignon to bass.

Stand up Bass raider.
Anybody ever try to put some kind of deck on one of those bass raider pontoons ? I saw a picture the other day with a guy standing on one with what looked like a deck on it. Wasn't sure if it was just an advertisement to show how stable they were or not. I have and old one and would love to do this as i really do not like to sit down and fish.

Jackall Giron Swimbaits
Have you tried a "walking the dog " technique?? this has been successful for me. When its just below the surface Walk it a little, then let it drop, reel in to get it back towards the surface and walk it again, repeat until you get a bite or its back at the boat. Very rarely do i actually just cast and reel.

I have the blue gilll and it works good for me. These are great swimbaits for the price.

Rod recommendation
You seem to have a pattern with the Daiwa stuff..why not look at some higher end Daiwa rods?? I personally have 3 Daiwa rods(not expensive ones) and i love 'em..

Mann's -1 crank
I have a couple of manns and they seem to have a wide wobble to them. I don't know if it is the same thing you are referring to. The 2 i have both wobble in the same fashion so i think it is just the design of the lure. Of course if its catching fish just roll with it and have fun!

Copoly?????
That is quite possibly the best quote i have heard on BR...Thanks Raul!!

JSJ Dirty Bird
I think you would be better served to wait on some reviews before spending that much money on a lure.

Copoly?????
The way Road warrior has spoken about yozuri, i had to give it a try. That has been the only line( besides 100% fluorocarbon for special applications) that i use.

Mixing Plastics For Color

Opinion on future rod/reel set-up??
IMO with the veritas being new this year i am skeptical of those rods. I think they may have a few kinks to work out.

Could the Game Cocks hold on to this?

Re-wiring for trailer lights
If you already have lights there's no need to re-wire. If you have never wired a trailer probably take about 2 hrs. Good choice on making the switch though

Spinnerbait Tips
This is it.....that's the best way to use a spinner bait IMO. I do not have one spinner bait that doesn't have a nick or ding in it from banging it off something.
