  1. If I am reading correctly. Does my 6' 6" Vendetta match up well with what I am looking for?
  2. I'll be throwing more shallow cranks with it, I don't deep crank much.
  3. For the rod, should I mainly be looking for a 7' Medium?
  4. I'm looking for a new crankbait setup. Price isn't a huge issue, but I don't want to spend a lifetime's salary on it. Any suggestions?
  5. I've seen people only cut down one of the tails. So that one side is longer that the other. Maybe you can try that and it will give you some more side to side action.
  6. Never had a problem with them. I've caught fish with them. Solid crankbaits. The one thing that I do like about the hooks is that it doesn't seem to take a Karate Kid style hookset to land the fish.
  7. I do. I don't have as much experience throwing hard baits as I do throwing soft plastics. Therefore, I see a lot better results when doing so. I need to learn to "step out of my comfort zone" so to speak, and throw hard baits more or I will probably never be very productive with them.
  8. I'm also from Middle Tn. Our "type" seems to being growing more and more on here. Glad to have you.
  9. I had no idea what that was going to be, but when I saw it come up I was nearly in tears laughing. Hahaha
  10. Are you fishing those by themselves or as a trailer?
  11. Yeah, Vanderbilt says that at a lot of their sporting events. Therefore, a lot of the private schools around Nashville have taken to saying that when they play public schools.
  12. Rebel Crawfish.
  13. I am also from TN. Here's a welcome from Music City!
  14. Tennessee gets another one!
  15. For bass fishing, I like Ike's City Limits show, and of course Bill Dance. But I have really started liking Gillz n Finz lately.
  16. Or any other live bait for that matter. If your friends aren't much into bass fishing, then they probably aren't going to be a group of "purists" who only believe in artificial baits.
  17. I like to throw all of my soft plastics on spinning gear. I think it just might be because of my lack of time with the baitcaster in my hand. But I like the leave the baitcaster to cranks, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, topwater frogs, and other larger lures.
  18. Try out a small Rebel Crawfish. We tear the creeks up with those and Rooster Tails.
  19. As long as the SEC stays the same, I'm find. Really though, they could drop Vanderbilt. That school has too much brains to be in the SEC.
  20. Wow! Your Dick's sells Loomis? I think the best rod they sell up here might be a St. Croix Premier and then drops to the Triumph then sub $30 rods after that. My Dick's has a few Loomis and a few St. Croix. It's kind of a luck of the draw of what you will find in them though. I am yet to see a rod there that I could really put to good use.
  21. "You're telling me that the guy selling drugs outside of the liquor store wasn't a good guy?" Best quote.
  22. Quite the scammer.
  23. Great deal. I might have to see if the one here has them on sale. If I remember correctly I paid close to $5 for the last SK crank I bought.
  24. I'll add another vote for the powerworms, but if you would have asked me last year I would have told you trick worm.
