I'm finally mobile. Today I bought a Pelican Castaway 116 Angler Kayak. Hopefully I can get some pics on her in the next couple of days. For any of you that have fishing kayaks: What are some of the first accessories that you would add?

Could I use a lighter jig for this?

I would have to agree with backwater. I'm not much into deep crankin' also. I have a couple that run to about 14', but none deeper than that. If you are just starting your collection, I would recommend getting two different colors in each range. One dark and one light/flashy. I'm also not into lipless cranks. I just can't seem to find any kind of "rhythm" with them.

This was also the first "quality" baitcasting reel that I have owned. I was just as blown away with excitement as you are.

I bought one this winter. Best rod I've picked up for the price, imo.

Zoom 4" and 6" Lizards have by far out-produced any other lure for smallmouths for me.

It sure is a great site! Personally, I know that I will go a month or two where I will post quite a few times per day. And then I will go a few weeks without even checking it. It all goes in cycles for me.

I see where you're coming from with this. But personally, I think the rattle is what makes the lipless crank.
