You have gotten some great advice in this thread. The one thing that I have to add that I have learned while also being shore bound is this: Don't just cast straight out into the water. Cast parallel to the shore. Doing this has helped me to catch many fish. Also, if you can, try and wade out a few feet. You will be surprise at how much more you will be able to get to.

I like to use them about 45 minutes before the sun goes down.

I'm shore bound/wading bound. So, I'm always standing.

I have been really wanting to give those a try when I can get a few extra bucks. The new Rage Tail line just looks like it is going to be unbelievable by the videos that they have posted on here. What size hook were you using with the Space Monkeys? Was it rigged weightless?

Cast it in the weeds. Let it fall a little. Retrieve it steady, letting it fall every now and then. If you do this, hope fully you can catch a 15 foot Crappie like the guy above.

I believe you hit the nail on the head right there. well on the rage site it is called the "carolina rig superstar" so maybe it will be good on a c-rig deep?

So, what your telling us is that you saw the fish, and you didn't even give catching it a fighting chance? I don't get it. But, I guess that's the difference between you and me.
