I also, haven't had as much luck with Senkos as the rest. But that could be that I don't enjoy fishing them as much and therefore haven't given them as much time.

I only got to fish for an hour or so. The wind was blowing my kayak right into the shore.

Fished Ft. Loudon Lake today. I just can't seem to figure out whether or not they are spawning.

I think if I was buying a $1 ticket, I would get $1 worth of enjoyment just thinking about what I would do with all of the money.

This is true for me, too. To me a lot of it is that I just enjoy trying things that I haven't before and trying to figure out where certain things work better than others. One day I might be able to just stick with a few specific lures that I have figured out, but for now I have fun trying quite a few of them.

Rebel Crawdads aren't too expensive and are good crawdad-type diving lures like it sounds you are looking for.

Nearly everything that I have for school is done online. A lot of homework, turning in papers, etc. is online. It can be absolutely miserable. If the internet goes down for a few hours, you're kind of out of luck.

They are more about the retrieve it seems to me.

Fished the TN River this evening just below Knoxville, and they definitely had not gone shallow yet. Only caught one hybrid, and it showed no signs.

So you still don't think that the spawn has started yet?

Just from the small amount of live bait fishing that I have done, we have focused more on catching threadfins as bait. (A lot of this has to do with the sole fact that gizzards are absolutely disgusting fish and just make the bait tank nasty) So, I have a tendency to say threadfins are what you should focus on. However, bass eat both, so I'm not sure that it really makes too much of a difference.

What are some of your favorite tactics and lures to use during the spawn?

Any updates? Also, how are you all targeting fish in these areas?

So are the fish still shallow, or have they moved out? Hopefully I can get out there this week, I'm just wanting to know where to look first.

Weightless. Work it a lot like I would a hard jerkbait.

I leave it tied on after I fish for the most part, but I typically change lures right before I get ready to fish based on what I want to throw that day/what has been working.
