  1. 6' 6" Medium Spinning if I had to choose just one. Technically, it's probably not the one that most would choose based on how many different types of lures you were to be throwing with it, but it's what I am most comfortable with.
  2. I just can't decide how I see it as being much different from any other beaver style bait. I'm already a huge fan of the Rodent.
  3. It will probably be a bait that I will pick up and try at some point this coming year.
  4. No, it was completely my fault. I was stupid about trying to get a lure unhung and got line wrapped all around it and it snapped. I've only had it since May, so it would still be under warranty, but I don't think that will apply since it is my fault.
  5. That was part of what I was thinking. If it is worth it to me (if I can save money), then I will try and deal with their service department. That is what I am trying to figure out.
  6. Have any of you dealt with St. Croix's service department? I managed to snap my Triumph yesterday and was wondering what the best way to go about the service or if I shouldn't even bother. I read the website about their different service plans and was just looking for feedback from y'all. Thanks.
  7. Like J Francho said, I would try and check out some used ones. You will be able to find a much better quality yak at $500 than you would if you were only looking at new. I would also look at one of the Ride 115s, they have apparently been more designed for the river angler. Edit: Look at making sure that the hull is in good shape. Scratches are okay, but make sure there are no deep cuts in the plastic. Also, most people have rigged their kayak for their personal preference. I personally think that this can be half the fun. That being said, if I was you I would probably look more into one that hasn't had much done to it so that you will be able to outfit it to your own liking.
  8. I am looking for water to fish around Knoxville. It needs to be accessible for a kayak is my only stipulation and preferably not far away.
  9. Most of the time when I'm throwing a jig, I like to throw them in heavy cover, so I prefer 50# braid.
  10. I haven't seen one. If I remember correctly, that normally comes right after Christmas.
  11. I've already started going back and re-reading all of the articles on here. That should keep me busy for at least a few days.
  12. This is really tempting. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to put together good combinations of head and skirt colors. Any suggestions on colors?
  13. I could use a fishing book or two to read. Any suggestions?
  14. It seems like I end up buying Green Pumpkin every time I buy a new bait.
  15. Those look awesome.
  16. I just upgraded from a Sahara to a Stradic this past spring, and I love it.
  17. I can always find big bags of the other colors at BPS, but I've never been able to find them in Motor Oil.
  18. Bombers have been some of the only square bills that I have ever thrown.
  19. I can never find those big bags of Power Worms in Motor Oil. I go through a ton of those throughout the year.
  20. Like stated, you can get through some decent stuff with square bills. But it always seems that the shallow-er cranks are the ones with square bills. Am I wrong?
  21. The Curado "E" Series got changed to the "G" Series correct?
  22. I've never really experimented with many braids. But I've stayed with Spiderwire for a while.
  23. Just went back to check on the Yum products at Wal-Mart. Needless to say, I may be good on Lizards for the year.
  24. Just signed on and my mind was blown. I had no idea this was coming, but it looks great.
