No I was not there for the fire but boy did we hear about it.

I am a woman and I feel empowered seeing Kim Bain-Moore representing all the women anglers. I know she is the underdog but I think she can rise higher. KVD is one spot above her. I thought that the Bassmaster Classic was a men's bass tournament know knowing that a women can compete in a tournament is empowering. I feel that this has become more a woman rights thing now then ever. All I want to see is more women fishing. Sometimes I feel that I am the only one. Even if she does not make the cut knowing that women can make it in the Bassmater Classic gives me hope. This is going to be big but it will die down, like every moment in history. I am sorry for rambling on. I cannot wait to see the second day tonight.

We do not have a fishing club at UIS. I was debating about starting one. I have no idea who would be interested in the club.

I am sad because I will not get another chance to go ice fishing this season. :'( I miss it, but then there is open water. I caught my first ice crappie and I learned how to use the auger.

I catch sunfish, bluegill, crappie, and perch. The most I catch in 30 degrees are perch. I do not know why. [tt][/tt]

I use an ultralight baitcaster Shakespeare rod with 2-6 LB. line. I prefer using grubs light green to yellow works best. I even caught my first bass using this method of fishing. I also used a medium rod and caught some crappies too, but did not catch as much if I used a medium. I like to experiment when it comes to fishing.

I am from Elmhurst. I do much of my fishing at Springfield because I am going to school down here.
