  1. I assure you, it ain't. Give the bait a try. I think you will like what you catch.

Randall, one of the members on here, said that he thinks the Shad Rap is such a good cold water bait because you get the maximum amount of action with the smallest amount of forward movement. Makes sense to me....maybe he will step in an explain further.
  3. The McStick is going to be a prespawn bass killer! Wait until the water hits the low to mid 40's and the fish are going to start crushing it. This bait was designed for cold water and post frontal conditions and so far it's been perfect for me in those 2 conditions. The rattles are similar to the Smithwick Rogue, but it dives a bit deeper and it also has a way better swimming action on a steady retrieve. Try it out. You will like them.
  4. I'm pretty sure that about 95% of Georgia's Jr. programs have gone to FLW. I fished the Jr's for one year, and that was the year it switched, so I can't really compare BASS to FLW, but the FLW's program was great.
  5. GON's forum has been full of Sinclair reports recently. Supposedly the lake is on fire right now and they think it's going to continue to get better. I will pm you the link....
  6. Way to go Dom!!! Don't be surprised when you get a pm from me asking for some help on my HW!!!
  7. Awesome fish 5lb. I always look forward to your posts. It's cool to see something other than bass. Those bluegills are chunks!
  8. Only because he is still alive. And even then don't forget about LL (Just go listen to "I'm the type of guy" lol) members of NWA, The Game, Brother Ali is climbing in status, and Eminem is still great. Ever, no way and never will be. And a good show? New England concert goers can't stand him. He has been at two events for 94.5 and both times didn;t perform because "he couldnt get through security". :[/quote didn't say he was the best ever. He is the best that is putting out albums right now. The Game is awesome but he is west coast and there hasn't been nobody since snoop worth a darn from the west coast. All i am saying is finiacially, lyrically, and popularity wise, nobody is better than little Wayne right now.lol Come on New England fans are the hardest people on the planet to please. dont get me wrong , im a huge sox and celtics fan. You know thats not a hip hop area anyways You have no idea. Take a trip up, it's crazy..... And it has to be because we are infested with the orange Guido's who love hip hop. ;D ROFLMAO!!! I knew a guido comment was gonna come up. Weezy is HUGE down here in Georgia or the "A" as many of the gansters refer to it. Lol. I like some of Lil Wayne's stuff, but The Carter 3 has some whack songs on it. Either they are great or they are terrible. And if you think Weezy is the greatest rapper alive, then your exposure to rap is miniscule. I have heard some awesome local stuff here that would put him to shame.
  9. I'm guessing your talking about the Spro Bronzeye frog? Anyway, it shouldn't fill up with water right out of the package. It usually will begin to after a few fish, but you probably got a bad one. There's a few options you have.... 1. If you wanna DIY, then take some superglue and drop a dab where the water is coming in 2. PM me a shipping address and I can send you a replacement one. I will shoot Spro an email and let them know that you had an issue with it.
  10. I've noticed alot of people are saying they don't like the noise of the knot going through the guides. A few ways to kill that noise a bit is to trim to tag ends right to the knot, then put a dab of superglue or mend-it and roll it in your fingers. That makes the knot spread out a little and get thinner. Plus, the glue will make the knot a bit stronger.
  11. Putting the 2 together gives you the advantages of both. Yes there are more knots, but if you tie if properly then you have nothing to worry about. The braid allows you to have super sensitivity and allows you to cast small baits far even in wind. The leader allows you to get those same advantages but makes it undetectable to the fish and gives the bait a more natural action.
  12. I always use a leader. I'm talking about spinning reels here. If I'm fishing braid on a baitcaster, I don't use one, but with spinning, I use a leader regardless of water color.
  13. It won't decrease the number of strikes. It will catch you more fish because you can feel more bites with braid. It will also allow you to throw lighter baits farther. The only reason I use a fluoro leader is to reduce it's visibility. Make sure you check the knot that connects the braid to the fluoro frequently.
  14. The Spro Aruku Shad is one of the best lipless cranks on the market. When you kill it, the bait will land right on the nose and look like a feeding shad or other forage fish. My favorite is the perch color. I have one that has no paint left on it. The best way I have found to fish it is through grass and timber. Let it tick the top of the grass then give it a rip, or find yourself a stump field and go crash it through there. Hold on tight, cuz the fish will rip the rod out of your hands. The Aruku Shad won me 2 tournaments last year and was a huge part of my success on the BFL trail.
  15. I just submitted an article to Glenn that hopefully will get published here on the site. If it does, I'll post you the link. It's goes over my sure-fire way to catch pre-spawners.
  16. Alright, I'm in. Ya'll might as well just compete for 2nd place, because I have 1st all locked up ;D
  17. Were getting a big group of coupes together and going to the Gwinnett Gladiators hockey game. They dye the ice pink and decorate everything in pink for the chicas. They have the dam "Kiss Cam" going all night. lol.
  18. x2!!! Just wait till you see the bags that will be brought in this spring with the new Poppin' Frog.
  19. I could not stop laughing at the buck tooth dogs!
  20. Oh Tin is gonna LOVE this!!!!!
  21. Now your talking. Small craw imitations are killer. I like the Bass Pro Shops Finesse Craw in watermelon/chart. claws. I put it on 6lb line, 1/16oz tungsten weight, and a 1/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook. This little setup is what I caught my 14.7 on. Just cast it out and crawl it back to the boat. Make sure your drag is right, because your gonna catch some big fish doing this.
  22. Don't sweat it Kent. It's been brutally tough for me. We started the year great, now I've blanked my last 2 trips :-? Not sure what's going on, but the fish have lock-jaw
  23. Nice looking baits dude. I love the craw/senko ones
