electronics
Wayne P. took the words right out of my mouth except his knowledge surpasses mine. An LMS 332c at the console and a 102c at the bow is a pretty good combination in my book, but then I'm not very familiar with the LCX-38 HD.

BASS RESOURCE
No longer are my acquaintances and "friends" the only individuals who experience my wonderful personality. I now have a whole community of people to offend.

D***, that strains the bounds of credibility, Burley.

whats everyones favorite snack while fishing
Man, Roger, I know exactly what you're talking about. When your mind is intent on something it is amazing how sustenance never enters your thoughts. When my wife and I fish together she always brings something for us to snack on, but when I fish alone, I usually don't think of eating until I'm pulling my boat out of the water.

terrible motorguide reviews
Customer reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as most are subjective. I'm sure you've seen people bash certain brands of computers when the facts are they didn't protect their software properly from viruses, adware, etc. I've seen the same thing with cars, motorcycles, etc. I've even seen it with fishing products on this site. I agree that you'll probably find a fairly equal number of MG and MK fans.

swimbait vs shad body
I think you nailed it, LBH. I've wondered the same thing. I have some paddle tail baits I bought a few years back and I see the same type of baits carrying the moniker of "swimbait" now.

What do you guys think?
It couldn't hurt. The worst thing that can happen is that you're still out the 40 bucks. Maybe they'll reimburse you.

I don't want bash Sufix but I've snapped two more times...
It works. And I don't know what's up with some of the problems you guys are having with Sufix Performance Braid. Heck, dodgeguy bragged on it constantly so I eventually tried some and loved it. I was strictly a PowerPro braid user before that. I haven't bought any recently because I bought enough to last me awhile. Maybe they manufactured a bad batch in the last few months.

Heck with it, I'm gettin' me a REAL Bass Boat!!!
Good luck on the boat search, Popeye.

I hate computers
Ok, I meant the above comment all in fun. I know there are a lot more young people than older people, who know this stuff. My whole team is under 30 except for me. There are a few of us old ba$%#rds who are into computers though.

I hate computers
Burley stated: It's time to hire a professional . . . . like me. BTW, I'm 47. I configure and install converged voice and data networks from the ground up: Install all OS's and applications on servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems; and configure all devices to work in concert with one another. My last installation was the new Sprint Arena in Kansas City which consisted of the following Cisco equipment: (71) access switches, (2) 6500 series core switches, (2) 3845 router voice gateways, (2) 3845 routers for WAN connectivity, (2)5500 series ASA firewalls, (1) 4200 IPS intrusion protection system, (2) Unified communications manager servers, (1) Unity Connection voicemail server, and (1) Customer Response Solutions server configured with Call Center scripts. These installations take a few months to complete. You rocket scientists under 35 need to leave this work to us old guys. Senile1/CCVP, CCNP, CICCES, CIPTOS, CIPTSS, CCNA, MCSE, NCSS, Network+, A+

Hello everyone from an old friend...
Hey, fishingrulz, welcome back! If some of these guys fish as much as they are on the forum, you wonder how they make a living.

What do you guys think?
hey redliner , they are picking on you again Not picking on anyone intentionally. Just seems they are very proud of their products, and ask a lot for them. Then if there is a problem, it costs money to have them replaced. The only rod that I have broken too recently was a Fenwick, replaced free and no questions asked. It was a few years old too. I have 4 Powells and they are great rods for the price. Listing at $169, they are mid-range in price. In Powell's opinion, did the rod break due to negligence on your part? I'm not saying you were negligent, but is this what Powell stated? Their warranty states that they will replace a rod for free unless they determine that defects in materials and workmanship were not the cause. An excerpt from the warranty is below.

Guide on Grand Lake, OK
I'm bringing this thread back to the top, because I will be visiting Grand Lake at the end of April. I was going to use a guide for a half-day trip to get a feel for the lake and the seasonal pattern before I go out on my own. I have found two guides that have over 15 years of guiding experience each on the lake. Ivan Martin was already mentioned. Tony Coatney also has over 15 years experience. Both charge the same price for a half-day trip. Can you Oklahoma guys tell me anything about these two guys? Which one would you use?

Do ya'll fish Rat L Traps in the weeds?
Tick . . . Tick . . . . Tick . . . Tick. Ticking the tops of grass, you can rip it free when you feel it tick the vegetation. Let the lure get down in the grass and you'll bring back vegetation every time.

Spawning
Minnesota's spawning temperatures will be similar to every other location. A small group of fish will begin to spawn when water temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s. The majority of fish will spawn in the 60s and then there will be some stragglers. Below is a great thread on spawning and the factors that influence when the spawn occurs. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196339007

Tiger Woods: Best athlete ever.
Let's not forget seven time Tour De France champion, Lance Armstrong. As an aerobic athlete, I would place him at the pinnacle. There are different types of athleticism and comparisons really can't be made between someone who is strong as an ox and someone like Lance who could peddle for miles and miles up mountain after mountain. The same can be said for Tiger Woods. Unless he gets injured or meets an untimely demise he will break every golf record known to man, but it doesn't follow that he would have been the greatest bicyclist or the greatest weightlifter, or the greatest runner, etc. if he had chosen those paths. Those activities require different skills. Determination and intensity of purpose alone, won't do it, though Tiger has these in abundance.

If red fishing line is invisible in the water then why isnt red hooks?
I'm just glad that Chatter Bait, at age 14, is interested in learning as much as possible about bass fishing from this forum. Good question, Chatter Bait.
