  1. What's your problem? :-?
  2. Neither, both are way overpriced and have poor customer service. I'm sticking with Tackle Warehouse.
  3. Never even seen Wheeler lake or Benson lake so I can't help you there.
  4. There's nothing like throwing a frog on lily pads!!!!!!
  5. A good quality reel in that price range is the Quantum Burst: http://www.***.com/descpageRLCQUANTUM-QBCR.html
  6. Slow, steady retrieve in all types of water clarity works for well for me.
  7. He probably has a Megaphone on his boat and tells the spectators what he is about to do. ;D
  8. How do you think this bait compares to the Netbait version? The Rage Tail version? Do you like it?
  9. All you should have on the deck of your boat in that time frame is topwater baits. Preferably, black Lunker Lure buzzbaits and Lucky Craft G-Splash poppers.
  10. Been on the salt side of the world lately. Here are some of the Redfish I have caught this year: http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/ad119/A_G_B/170.jpg http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/ad119/A_G_B/265.jpg Caught the big 30" Redfish on shrimp using a bottom rig. Caught the dink Redfish while I was sight fishing for him on a Berkley Gulp! shrimp using a C-rig. The small one also came from a school of least 500 Redfish. I was disappointed I was only able to get one, but I will take it.
  11. What part of the lake are you shore fishing? not sure yet. im still very new to the area , so where ever i can find a spot i guess. i found a small lake and pond by the house , so i may give that a shot tomorrow. Cool. When you get to Jordan Lake I recommend using the Farrington boat ramp. It's not ever really crowded and there are plenty of places to shore fish from there.
  12. You ain't gotta be a jackass just because somebody didn't understand your question. :
  13. Get yourself a duffle bag and throw all of your plastics in it. (This is what I do) I you want to be even more organized, get some gallon Zip-Loc bags and put a certain type of plastic in one bag and a different type of plastic in another bagand so on and so forth. Use a Sharpie to mark the Zip-Loc bags so their easy to find.
  14. What part of the lake are you shore fishing?
  15. You get what you pay for. For example, if Sunline cost around $20.00 it's gonna be a good line. On the other hand, Vanish is cheaper therefore it won't be as good as Sunline. You'll probably just have to try out a lot of different brands to see which you like best in your price range.

ive always wanted to get a a pair of RX polarized whiskers. did you go directly through oakley? or though a company like lenscrafters. I went to Eye Care Associates to get mine. Since you live in the triangle I would recommend going to them also if you do decide to get some. The first time I ordered mine Oakley lost my order so it took me 5 weeks to get mine instead of the usual 1-2 weeks. They gave me a free $100.00 book bag to try and make up for it. ;D
  17. You ate a Snakehead?
  18. I live in Sanford, so I guess about an hour away. I usually go to Jordan Lake and Shearon Harris lake. There is a boat ramp for Shearon Harris lake on highway 42. It's pretty close to Fuquay-Varina.
  19. Man, I would love to fish that bank in the background of the first picture. BTW, those are two great fish!!!!!!
  20. I would think just the force of water going along the prop could bend. I really don't know though, just throwing out a random idea.

Costa's are EXTREMELY popular on this forum, but my RX polarized Oakley Flak Jackets work flawlessly so far.
  22. im ready!!!! got my non-resident license , but im still legal to fish. tomorrow , my father in-law and i are probably going to hit up wheeler but we have johnson , benson and bass lake bear by. im right by the 40/42 intersection , so if anyone is down for some fishing in that area , let me know. I live on highway 42.
  23. 15 lb. flourocarbon main line and 12 lb. flourocarbon leader. I make the leader as long as my arm. Are you sure your knots where good? That might of have played a role in your leader breaking off, not the line type or poundage.
  24. With SI it is a life like view of the bottom. For example, if you see what looks to be a tree more than likely it's a tree.
  25. If someone were looking to spend$20,000 on a car I wouldn't send them to a Bently showroom. I probably see more shimano baitrunners and Penns(not a captiva) than anything. Why not a Captiva? Is there something you don't like about them?
