  1. I picked up a 95 Tracker Pro Deep V 16 with a 40 Merc on it last year, ran good for what it was. A couple of months went by and the motor spit the bit, 1 of the cylinder went away. I found a 2009 Merc 50 2 stroke, brand new, full warranty, about 5200 after taxes. Really nice used boat, $3200, replacement motor, $5200, but I'm fishing. Rodney
  2. For leaks in aluminum Cabela's has a hot melt epoxy that works very well, you need a heat gun and sandpaper. When you know where the leaks are rough them up good and melt the epoxy onto the spot. By the time you clean up and put every thing away you're ready to try it. Rodney
  3. That's me with 3 years of jig making and there's more molds to buy.LOL Rodney
  4. I like the Deep Little N, Deep Middle N, DD22 and I don't remember the model but it is a square bill shallow diver. They all work. Rodney

Berekely Scent, it's worked well for me over the years when I've used scent. Rodney
  6. Take a short piece of line, thread it through the weight so you have a loop, put a rubber band in the loop and pull it through, works like a toothpick without nicking the line. It's easier than it is to describe it but works well and allows you to slide the weight up the line for reties. Rodney
  7. Hmmmmm, and I thought I was doing an intellectual thing deciding what colors to tie in my hair jigs. Rodney
  8. "T" rigged tubes with as light a weight as you can get away with in translucent natural colors and don't be afraid to up size, at times that works better than downsizing. Rodney
  9. If memory serves they were the fist scented worm. Use an 1/8 or 1/4 ounce ball head jig rigged with an open hook, cast along a weedline and fish it like a curl tail grub, 6 inch size, they can save a slow day and be used as a fish finder. Rodney
  10. Got my head handed to me on Stillwater Reservoir by my friend, he was throwing Flicker Shads and I didn't have any. I do now. Rodney
  11. Tube, tube or tube, watermelon, watermelon/black flake, green pumpkin, smoke/ black flake, pumpkinchartrusetail. Rodney
  12. Of course you'll save money, hundreds if not thousands of dollars, By the by, we are having a convention of flying pigs in a couple of days.LOL You may break even if guys you fish with, take a liking to your baits and buy them, key word, may. Rodney
  13. I don't fly fish, not some thing I grew up with, but that is one beautiful rod. Rodney
  14. Send it back and see if they will replace it. Rodney
  15. Where do you get it? Rodney
  16. I get my molds from Jann's, I was getting my skirt material from them also but Fishing skirts.com is very good. I just bought bucktails from Barlows along with some round rubber. I haven't been real happy with some of the tails I bought elsewhere so I tried Barlows and the ones I got look good. I've been told Stamina has very good tails and the next time I'm after only tails I'll go there. For hooks, Capt.Hooks, end of discussion, look at the Eagle Claw black finish. Rodney
  17. But they have the right to copy, after all, she's trying to get rich, you on the other hand are not allowed to come up with an original idea on your own to use yourself.LOL Rodney
  18. I use a heat gun, fluid bed and toaster oven with little or no trouble but I paint my jigs a short time after pouring. Rodney
  19. You can buy a cheap vise for around 15 dollars and there are some good you tube vids on tying with out needing a drug store next door. Rodney
  20. Keep up the good work. If you need to have someone test them I can give you my address. Rodney
  21. It's funny, I wouldn't think of throwing a skirted jig with an unpainted head but think nothing of using an unpainted head with a grub or worm, go figure. It is easy to paint bare jigs, while I powder paint all you really need something like Testors model paint. Rodney
  22. How to use my electronics to better effect. Rodney
  23. It's easy; pay your bills, buy food, buy cloths, invest for your retirement so you can retire and fish; money left for bait monkey 0$ Rodney
  24. Add it to what I have for I-Pilot for my PD2. Rodney
  25. While I'm no expert I would think that jigs work everywhere. Have you tried different retrieves, different weights and colors. If you're moving it slowly, try speeding it up, try crawling the jig instead of hopping it or the other way around. Do different things with it until you find what works. Rodney
