Your 3 favorite pro anglers
1: Zell Rowland 2: KVD 3: Any Pennsylvania Pro! Really in any order, I lost some respect for Swindle after the run in with Zell, but I always liked his sense of humor and I hope that incident was one of them manufactured for TV type incidents.

2000-year-old advice
That gives me an idea for where to put my sons Christmas present. Although I should get him a megaphone, He had a steel leader on this summer on a lake filled with pike, he birdnested his reel and I told him to let me know when it was OK to engage the trolling motor. I heard him mumble OK and then I proceeded to wrap the leader in the trolling motor prop shaft.

Missing fish on spinnerbaits
I also saw a bass come in a nail my spinnerbait from the side, but it never opened it's mouth. It just slammed into it at high speed. I know that happens, but it was the first time I saw it so clearly with my own eyes. That certainly made me realize why I prefer a crankbait with all them nasty treble hooks.

Missing fish on spinnerbaits
I have problems too, but I'm pretty sure it is my rod choice. I think I found a better setup, but I only got to use it once before all the snow and cold weather. That particular day the bass were feasting on a chrome RatL-Trap and I never put the spinnerbait back on.

LMB video
LMB is on at 5AM Tuesday morning. I'll watch if I'm up. I did see both weeks and I thought they said the video would be ready soon. It was incredible stuff. When the smallmouth was unhooked thrown back in and struck the bait again was surprising, until the LGmouth tried to eat the same smallmouth when he was reeling it in.

Most difficult
Not as much technique problems with me as it is finding the right rod action for particular baits. I'm still looking for the best spinnerbait rod for my fishing style, which is usually sitting down in a jon boat.

Winter Survival
I broke out my ultra lite setup and went trout fishing to try out some new winter gear. It was the first time I went in 2 years. Pulling in a 6" native trout after bass fishing takes a little getting used to, but I plan on bass fishing as much as possible this winter and I found a pike lake nearby I may try out.

Welcome to the new forums!
Looks crisper, if that's possible.

Guests ??? Please join!!
I've noticed that until I actually enter the "forums" I show up as guest. That is probably because of the shortcut I use. If I just go to the news or tips sections first I'm not logged in, but when I go to forums I automatically get logged in. It is the same with other sites too. So the amount of guests online doesn't always mean they aren't members. Just a thought.

Mystery stuff in water
Madhouse, I've seen Surface and I don't think I will be fishing in that cove anymore. Unless I have my new Phaser IV lure/weapon ready by spring!

Mystery stuff in water
During the summer I pulled in an underwater branch and clumps of vegetation that had what looked like a pod from aliens hanging from it. It was obviously something living or about to be alive. I think they were ping pong ball size. I'd of never thought of frogs though and I usually see turtles laying eggs on the beach.

Now Over 300 Served
I didn't join till earlier this year when I had something to say about a post, but had been here the last few seasons lurking. I'll bet that 1 out of 5 bass I land is a direct result of info from this site.

Anti-baitmonkey serum
My new motto is "An angry fisherman, catches no fish". I saw that on Scott Martins show, it's an oldy, but one I need to have holographed on my sunglasses. Grrr....!! Ooops, relax and take a breath, Bill!!

Transom Saver
Nick, thanks for the explanation. Something else I have to remember while looking this winter and spring. I'm always looking to save a few bucks, but saving a few bucks can cost you big time in the end (no pun intended).

Booyah shows appreciation
The reverse works too, I hope. I put some Berkley Trilene on my sons reel while he is at college. I used it and noticed it didn't "feel" right. Sure enough I found little bumps in it every 50' or so. Looking at it under a magnifier it looks like air bubbles in the mono. He doesn't remember where he bought it, but I'll contact Berkley direct and see if they'll send me some new stuff.

Garlic Scent???
I found a huge container of granulated garlic last night when making supper (wife must've hid it). I saw a show the other week where the host kept a bag of this an threw all his used soft plastics in it that had lost there scent. I'll be trying it this week. I bought some Venom Tubes this week that have the smell of garlic and burnt bacon.

Tournament or Recreational Fisherman?
100% recreational, but I fish against the toughest opponent in the world everytime I fish and that is my expectations of myself. Even that takes the fun out of it sometimes. If I ever get to the point I have nothing to prove to myself, I'll quit and humans don't live long enough for that to happen.

Let's see your boats!!!
Don't laugh, at least it floats. The boat I mean. I just got the Jeep that was used for a hauling a bass boat by the previous owner, but I'm waiting till spring for a boat and trailer unless I find something till then that I don't need a loan for. This boat will then be stored at a local reservoir that has a 10 day quarantine and allows electric motor only.

I was on BassCenter!!!!

I was on BassCenter!!!!
Had the show on, but missed it. I'll remember your face and look for you in the future. When you win the Classic, we can say we knew you since you were a youngster.

A new moderator?
Thanks L_B_H , I hope we all can do our part to keep things smooth as possible. I know the FAQ is right there, but a lot of sights make it weekly reading request.

What would you do if.......
Call 911!!. Seriously, I would call the State Game commision and get advice first and then local newspaper all the while doing what others have said. Witness's pictures etc.. At least in my area the newspapers eat stories up that have a great picture to go along. Of course then everyone within 200 miles is going to be fishing that spot for years.

Whos who????
Well, I could tell you my real name, but then I'd have to ...... You know how it is.

Every use satelite photos of your lake?
I just started using Google Earth and I noticed that the areas to my east in the direction of Philadelphia are much better, but as you get farther west the resolution is terrible. Like the old terraserver I used the major population areas had been mapped with higher resolution first. When I first messed with them years ago large parts of the rural areas weren't even done at all.
