What size do u think i should start with? 1/4, 3/8? ... im thinkin 1/2 is a little big for gettin me started but wat do you think? Lastly, how do you guys feel on those colors? I know black and blue is always popular aka "old blue hair" lol ;D but any other favorites? BB
  2. Thanks! Would it work well in shallower water or do you find your best results in deeper water? BB

And i know its just me but sometimes i look at jigs and wonder with such a think weed guard how the bass even gets hooked cause they seem so stiff i cant imagine how they push down enough to get a good hookset... i know its just me though i guess.. do you guys trim your weed guards? Looking for a some good jigs to buy and give a go... thanks in advance BB

  7. Use just like a normal worm, for example weightless t-rig or weighted if need to. its just heavier and has a little wiggle when it falls. KINDA like a senko but not nearly as soft if i remember right. Good luck. Let us know how it works for ya. BB
  8. Im in college and looking for MY first bass boat and have heard very mixed reviews on basstrackers. I found a used tracker im goin to look at today and need some help and advice PLEASE!!! What are your experiences with basstrackers or thoughts on them? Do they last long? etc. This investment i'll need to make last a long time. The BassTracker is a 2001 17' Mercury 25hp 4 stroke w/ tilt--- says he's used less than 100 gal of gas because he has a pontoon and lost interest in the tracker. Trolling motor: Motor Guide pro series 43 lbs thrust Tracker pro fish 128 finder by humminbird Trailer: trailstar. Live Wells ADVICE PLEASE!!! thank you BB

So now that i bought out my Sportsman Warehouse from Rage Tail craws because of all the love they get around here i need your opinions on favorite color, other than Blk/bluflk.. and your favorite way to use them.. Just looking for advice bc i've never used them and now have 15 pakcs at $2.20 a pack, in multiple colors. :D i realize you texas rig em or some people throw them on a jig but just looking for advice from people who have had success.. and what colors you had more success on. Thanks BB

  14. There is a strong chemical smell to them right out of the package.. but take them out and just let them sit and in a couple days the smell will be gone And to be honest these are one of my favorite hollow swimmbaits.. Very durable like you said.. and good colors IMO.. and great swimming action One question i use the smaller size but what size hooks do you use for the larger sizes? I have a hard time getting the larger sizes to swim right, i used up to 1/2 oz hook... Thanks BB

  16. So im 19 and need a little boat to get me from place to place and i cant go spend $10,000 while paying for school and a truck.. so with the help of everyone here and also this link.. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1206322448 I have decided me and a buddy are going to modify our own boat and put a deck up, carpet and trolling motor etc...the whole nine yards.. But just a couple questions.. Which boats are better for this project for stability? Are jon boats better? which boats are ones to stay away.. I've seen that the 14" boats are working well and people love them.. Any other tips when purchasing a boat? Thanks in advance BB
  17. ^^ Exactly! X3 with megastrike.... Since i started using it i will never touch a another scent. -Only need to apply about 2 times an hour (Instead of every other cast) ;D -Very good price for how long a tube lasts! -Not oily and messy like other sprays and scents My vote is megastrike. Good luck!
