  1. That's the bad thing abut spell check, spelled right but wrong word
  2. I'd say 6 lbs and up you're in Hawg territory ;D Down south it's either Tight Eyes (eyes are close together), keeper (14+) or Hawg
  3. As George stated its all about location, any time I'm faced with adverse weather conditions I head off shore.
  4. Hook removal is quite easy with the proper technique, I've used this one on dozens of occasions
  5. Generating Schedule / Lake Level as of 06/05/07 7:00 am Lake level: 170.88 Generator 1: Currently 7 hrs/2 pm 9 pm Generator 2: Currently 7 hrs/2 pm 9 pm Spillway Gates: Currently shut down Surface Temperatures: 76-79 degrees due to cooler nights and rainy days. The bass are on summer patterns with a lot of fish Suspended in 12-25' of water but just about any technique is producing. Monday I got 5 very dependable reports at work about using wacky worms & 5 Senkos fished in 10-12' early/late as well a crank baits. Carolina Rigs/Texas Rigs/Jigs and a few on buzz baits at night. I would plan on fishing early/late or at night since the heat and humidity of mid-day is killer as you well know. I'm trying to put together a trip to meet t bend tex (Larry Gerald) but haven't had any luck due to a death and illness in the family. My kids asked what I wanted for Father's Day and naturally I said a couple of days on the lake since I haven't been since March. Tommy T
  6. Check out this one on a Alweld, I would suggest you have it welded in place and bolt it through the bracket. http://www.alweld.com/Alweld%20Website%2001-17-07_files/page0003.htm
  7. That is a 4 Saltwater Shad Assassin Curly Shad by Bass Assassin, the top one is Electric Chicken.
  8. Now that's a technique I never heard of, kinda of difficult aint it
  9. Y'all ever look at the bottom of a boat from under water? Care to guess what color they look like?
  10. As long as y'all stay north of I-10 I'm safe
  11. You may want to check out SOB Fishing Products they sell Oldham's Jigs on line, Terry Oldham does not have a web site for selling tackle. Black/Blue, Black Neon, Coon Tail-Black/Brown/Amber I use ¼, 3/8, & ½ most of the time; I probably throw 3/8 oz more because that is the particular fall rate the bass on Toledo Bend prefer but I will go to ½ oz in the summer when fishing deep structure or 5/8 oz for matted Hydrilla. http://soblures.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=45
  12. Why is it every time I light a cigarette I get a bite? :
  13. The record size for an alligator in Louisiana was 19 feet 2 inches This exceptional gator head measures: 25-5/8" front to back; 8" across the nose; 16-5/8" from mid-eye to tip of nose & 12-3/8" across the widest part of head

  15. Try Toledo Tackle http://www.toledo-town.net/specialty/oldhams.asp
  16. Crawfish change color year round & I don't think the bass know when this occurs ;D The common crawfish color is black with red, green, brown, or blue highlights
  17. June 30th July 6th 1978 while on the way to Toledo Bend I told my ex-wife if I caught a bass over 6 lbs I was going to have it mounted. During that week I caught 12 bass from 6 1/8 7 3/4 in Polo Gaucho Creek on a spot we call Machine Gun Ridge and my PB is now 12.8; still not had a bass mounted or a replica made.
  18. Gotta Love It, here in Louisiana we don't remove the gators, the law states Don't feed the gators, so if you're dumb enough to feed em you're dumb enough to get bit. About 3 weeks ago there was a 13 footer found in a drain canal inside the city limits, it had been killed by a larger gator. Redlinerobert, Tony Lama mean any thing to you?
  19. One of my favorite Team Tournament buddies has a bright red Skeeter Wrangler; we have been winning tournaments out of this boat since 1977 when he bought it new. My tournament sponsor shirts are bright red; red is my color. Movement will spook fish regardless of what color you are wearing

Technique: you'll catch more & bigger bass under Hydrilla mats than you ever will above it Jig: Oldham's Lures Trailer Hitch Jig, 5/8 oz Black/Blue, Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws in 6 with 1 ½ cut off the tail
  21. I would straight out ask for his thoughts on the subject, be firm without being rude. I understand him not wanting you to help with things concerning the boat but I would insist on paying my fair share of the expenses.
  22. NHRA & I go way back; I drove in the B-Modified Production Class & worked in the pits between races, there's nothing like the smell of Nitro-methane. My favorite Hottie was Jungle Jim's Pam Liberman
  23. When faced with crystal clear water I find it better to fish on days that are overcast or I'll fish it at night.
