Even though a senko is made of plastic they are totally different from a plastic worm because of its body thickness. I have had very limited success with a senko so I'll leave hook requirements to RW and others. Now a Texas Rigged worm is my absolute favorite bait/technique; it has produced more numbers of bass and more double digit bass than any bait I've ever fished. I prefer a straight shank hooks over offset hooks for the simple reason a straight shank hook allows the worm to slide up the line instead of balling up in the throat of the hook. I also prefer worms with rings which give an illusion of a thicker profile but have less plastic to penetrate. The rings also feel softer in a bass's mouth which in turn results in the bass holding on longer. My favorite worm is a Gene Larew 7 ½ salty ring worm; I couple this worm with a Mustad 3/0 Straight Shank Denny Brauer Flipping Hook.

I call it finding a rhythm, I pause a good 30 seconds after the bait reaches bottom, lower the rod to the 3 o'clock position while reeling slack & feel for anything unusual. Move the rod from 3 o'clock to 1 o'clock in three motions & pause 30 seconds & feel for anything unusual. Repeat If this doesn't work I'll speed it up from 30 seconds to 20 seconds between pauses, & at the fastest 15 seconds. If still no bites I'll slow way down

Y'all ever look at a bait thinking I know it's designed to be fished like this but I'll bet if you fished it like this it'll kill em. I was looking at Stanley's Rabbit Frog which is killer when buzzed on top but it struck me what if I used it as a Jig Trailer or maybe Texas Rigged it. Those little legs sure do a lot of kicking & I wonder what it would look like while falling slowly towards the bottom

My favorite is a Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craw in 4, 5, or 6 depending on the rate of fall I'm wanting.

In cold water, fish sharp points, where bass can have significant depth changes without swimming great distances. In warm water, long points with a gradual taper into deep water usually hold more fish. Deep to shallow or vise versa? When you've selected which point to fish and are headed towards it you are already in deep water already so start there working shallower.

First off if your fried fish is coming out greasy/oily your grease was not hot enough or you didn't remove them from the grease soon enough. To fry fish you mush have very hot grease and remember fish cooks extremely fast since it is a flaky meat. Being a Cajun I can promise you most people do not like seafood because they have eaten seafood that was not cleaned properly and prepared properly. Some people however just plan don't like seafood, my wife is one. But if you like seafood I can prepare bass that you will absolutely love, it's so good that if you get some on your forehead your tongue will beat your brains out trying to get to it.

Interesting but no one has yet to mention a pattern, the quote in the morning during summer, bass are in the shallows feeding is not a pattern. That is the location of where the bass are, my question would be what shallow water? Shoreline shallow, shallow water ridge located off shore, inside grass line or outside grass line. By definition pattern: a reliable sample of traits, acts, tendencies, or other observable characteristics of a bass.
