  1. I have a Cardiff CDF100A on Daiwa TD-V701MHRB rod 7' 0; caught 2 bass over 10 pounds & I've also caught several bull reds in the 20 pound range with it with absolutely no problems.
  2. In any tournament you must follow all state & federal laws so legal length will very
  3. Aint but one Richard Fast Petty Of today's drivers Mark Martin ;D Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, & Roush Racing
  4. Exactly with one exception I don't buy into this 7 to 1 rope length; if I'm anchored in 15' of water I only use 25' of rope but I use a Tri-fluted River anchor designed to dig in.
  5. I did some research on the web & found Taylor Craft built Jet/Ski boats while not a house hold name among bass anglers it was still a strong built boat. The man asked of options you gave yours & I gave mine; the decisions is now his
  6. I like aluminum L angle but then I also like welding every thing together
  7. If I'm fishing say a 12 hour day which is normal I'll spend 3 or 4 hours at each spot unless I'm getting bit then I'll spend the whole 12 hours on one spot. I've won numerous tournaments anchored on an underwater ridge or hump; an island or point never lifting the anchor once for 12 or 14 hours.
  8. Aint Texan, you send all the videos you want I love em & will share with others who believe in all you guys are doing. Don't listen to CNN You just stay safe & get your butt home ASAP

I've thought the same thing or maybe just Texas rigging a Ribbit, nothing wrong with slowing down a jigs rate of fall.
  10. Excuse me but in every close game Mr. Saban took over the offensive play calling, Jimbo Fisher is a good offensive coordinator just not a great one. Close only counts in horse shoes & hand grenades
  11. IF the biggest word in the dictionary Just be careful to check the entire boat especially the transom for softness, it the transom is soft then I would forget this boat. Many boats from this era are still just a sturdy now as they were the day they were built. I'm working with a friend rebuilding a '78 Skeeter Wrangler; we know it's solid because he is the original owner.
  12. Personally I think using a black light at night is putting yourself at a huge disadvantage, if the light is shinning forward you tend to only cast forward, if the light is shinning to one side or the other you tend to cast only that direction. Here's a little example I was night fishing with my nephew and one of his buddies; the black light was on the left hand side of the boat. We were working a shore line and no one was had gotten a bite in over 3 hours as we entered a cove that I knew held fish I heard a fish move on the surface. I immediately stepped to the right side of the boat making a cast towards the direction of the sound and was rewarded with a healthy little chunk. I released the fish, cast again in the same direction and again hooked another keeper. After turning the black lights off and working the cove we managed to land 8 fish up to 4 ½ lbs; we had started off by working 20 yards away from the bank and the bass were holding 35 yards off the bank behind us. We sat down taking a break and eating a snack my nephew and his friend said they always use a black light and always fish towards the light because it's useless unless the light is shinning on your line. I said I never use a black light and always fish 360 degrees around the boat looking and listening for movement. My nephews friend says yea but you'll miss bites you can't feel with out a black light and I answered unless it's totally black which is rare there is enough light to see your line if you look skyward and the darkness forces you to hone your sense of feel.
  13. Saban recruits coached by Les Miles Just who do you have to put up against Flynn? Wilson? McElroy? Fanuzzi? Oh yea & a coach who's only concern is $,$$$,$$$ Keep Dreaming

  15. Dream on Tide Dream on : Y'all be lucky if Saban is there in 5 years Two words for Bama "Matt Flynn"
  16. If you would have given this info to start with we could do a better job helping out; while I'm not familiar with Taylor Craft it appears to be a copy of a Ray Craft. I will do some farther research but it's probably some type of Laminated Wood deck. I'm sure some of the older guys well have some input now that we can see what we are working with.

  22. During the middle 70's we had a caravan of several boats heading up to Toledo Bend, this was when CB's were popular. I was in the lead truck when all a sudden we hear over the CB Glenn you boat is coming of the trailer. Quickly pulling to the side of the road and running back there is Glenn's brand new Champion sitting in the middle of the road. It took all 14 of us to a couple of hours get the boat back on the trailer & needless to say the hull was totally ruined.
  23. Use simple techniques to perfection & you'll consistently catch big bass
  24. I try to order my plastics factory direct in bulk 50-100; I dived them into 25's, place them into zip-lock baggies & store them in an ole school Plano worm box. Once on the lake I select the color I want to throw and if it produces I'll put a 25 pack on the boat console.
  25. Could you please give me a wider view?
