This type of reservoir is totally out of my realm of expertise but from the few times I've fished a mountainous region here goes. You have mentioned 2 types of structure already typical steep banks/slow sloping banks; my choice of baits would be shaky heads and twin tail grubs. From my limited knowledge I would think this would be a finesse situation calling for light tackle and due to the high heat during the mid-day hours I'd fish early/late.

I was in Baton Rouge that night hiding from hurricane Rita, our hotel was so close to the stadium we could hear the announcers on the PA system and the roar of the crowd. It was one of those games that you are just not meant to win. I'm just hoping all the early predictions come true and LSU finally gets to face USC in the BCS Championship but when you're in the SEC you are almost sure to lose at least 1 game.

I totally do not understand this need of waiting to set hook; what on earth are y'all waiting for? As it has been said on many an occasion bass do not have hands so if at any time you feel a noticeable tap, tug, line tighten, heaviness, or see line movement without hesitation drop the rod, reel the slack, and set the hook.
