Yes Sir ? The biggest shock to my boys & their friends when they talked to me about muscle cars was when I told them most muscle cars were in fact family cars with performance packages. Momma told me to change the plugs, points, & condenser in her Galaxy 500. I did, I yanked the distributer & went back with high performance. After she drive it, she looked at me & grinned.
  2. You will only throw that once around here!

Shortly after the start of the 1964 model year, the LeMans became available with a new performance package designated as the GTO
  4. I know some of y'all fish the Atchafalaya Basin, where y'all at.
  5. @WRB Yeah Tom I ain't buying that one. A 3# bass can inhale a jig without it touching any part of it's mouth. It can close it's mouth & not move leaving you feeling nuthin. In my mind every bass is different, every bite is different, but every hookset is the same.

Both! Straight axle on a car wasn't stock. CB whip antenna 102"
  7. According to his peers Hackney has the most violent hookset on the circuit. Some make fun of those of us who "ski" em to the boat. When I sethook, I turn their head, & getting em coming up all in one motion. I do not stop until they are in the boat. Therefore dinks get skied on the surface & boat flipped.
  8. C'est Fini (that's it, finished)
  9. I bring my oldest brother with me, he was the top Chevrolet salesman for 12 years. When we walk out they're madder than a hornet. One that cracks me up is when they hand me the keys to test it. I hand them back & say it better drive great it's brand new!
  10. We've discussed recently how far y'all tow a boat to go fishing but how far off grid y'all willing to go. I ain't as mad at em as Keith Poche so I don't carry a chainsaw or electric wench. I will jump laydowns, sand bars, levels. I will push pole mud flats & grass fields. I've ran 2 1/2-3 hours one way through marshes & swamps in the dark. Bank fishing I've walked several miles round trip down oilfield roads.

Instead of power steering you had a 3' diameter steering wheel. Most kids don't know what a duce and a quarter is. Most people don't know that GTO stands for Gran Turismo Omologato.

Four on the floor & a 5th under the seat!
  14. When momma wants a fish fry that's what I throw!
  15. Not fishing related but one of the scariest moments outdoors. When ducking in a local marsh my friend Reid & I were dropped off at our blind about two hours before daylight. I stepped up on the front deck & dropped into the blind when something ran between my legs making a crazy noise. I jumped back up on top of the blind & unloaded 3 quick shots. d**n Nutria Rats! ?

  17. Most important piece of equipment in my boat! Y'all ever seen the Perfect Storm? 135 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico during a storm that made a 70' boat look tiny. Still will not watch that movie today!
  18. Some of y'all are confusing friendship with acquaintances.
  19. Mr Twister Phenom Worm Alphabet Baits, the original Square Bills Mann's Jelly Worm Hildebrandt Snagless Sally
  20. Y'all ever have a friend die in your arms? You will regret not telling them you love them!
  21. You can not compare a swimjig bite to a chatterbait bite to a jig-n-craw bite. When your Jig-n-Craw or Texas Rig is setting on the bottom & a bass picks it up there is no rod bending taking place. With moving baits you're pulling one direction while the bass is pulling the opposite direction. Now you have what he's talking about. It's kinda like this notion I will miss bites because I'm throwing mono & mono stretches when the bass inhales my lure. No it doesn't If you're letting the bass pull hard enough to put bend in your rod or stretch in your line, that's on you not the rod or line.
