Who doesn’t use senkos?
@GetFishorDieTryin 7 1/2" Ringworm was the first lure GL got rid of followed by the 6" Salty Craw. Without those two, ain't no reason for me to hang around.

Gators
Gators are most aggressive during mating season. Depending on which lake in Texas the population may be low.

Who doesn’t use senkos?
If ya throw a Senko the majority of the time guess what the majority of your fish will be caught on? Anyone who has been around this site for some time knows my #1 most productive soft plastic for quantity & quality was a Gene Larew 7 1/2" Salty Rinworm in cinnamon pepper neon junebug laminate - camouflage. I've caught bass from Brownsville TX to South Central Florida, from the Gulf Coast to Northern Ohio. What made that worm so productive? Might have been the fact that I threw it 90% of the time!

Color test - Blue vs Purple
In Mann's Jelly Worms I preferred Black Grape over Grape. My #1 color was Cinnamon Pepper Neon Junebug Laminate - Camouflage Sapphire Blue lizard is killer during prespawn/spawn A Blue Rebel Ringworm accounted for my first bass ever on Toledo Bend & my first 15 bass limit on the same lake.

Still considering a glass boat
I didn't reference a Skeeter, BassCat was the reference.

Do they make crank baits the same size as the KVD 1.5 but heavier than 3/8?

That Big Fish Something
Location: personally I would select one body of water & fish it year round. I would also target both shallow & deep water. I would put in at least 100-150 days on the water. Lure & techniques are personal choices

That Big Fish Something
Perseverance is not giving up. It is persistence and tenacity, the effort required to do something and keep doing it till the end, even if it's hard.

Jig Advice
Where ya think the "swim" jig technique came from. Someone somewhere was dragging or hopping a jig, reeled up to make another cast, & got bit. Repeated that retrieve & got bit again. Now we got an entire selection of jigs, rods, & reels.

How often do you change line?
Braid I don't Big Game as often as necessary, sometimes depending on the cover I'm fishing once a week.

Jig Advice
If it ain't broken quit trying to fix it! It doesn't matter what lure you're throwing, when you get bit, stop & examine what you were doing when the bass bit. Repeat that retrieve ?

Where would you fish
One of the things I like about Toledo Bend is its remote enough that after the spawn the pressure dies until fall. The fall pressure is short lived because of football & hunting season. Another reason I night fish is you can go all night & never see another boat. If you do see another boat it's a pontoon boat crappie fishing.
