Depending on how thick the hydrilla is I start with 1/2 oz & move up as necessary. Generally I will have 2 rods on deck, 1 with 1/2 & 1 with 3/4. Some instances it maybe 3/4-1 oz.

My wife was employed by Ma Bell for 33 years & until Hurricane Rita the office here never closed. I can not tell y'all how many severe thunder storms, tropical depressions, tropical storms, & hurricanes up to cat3 I drove through getting her back & forth to work. Rita was the most intense tropical cyclone on record in the Gulf of Mexico & the fourth-most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded. I had Carolann at work the next morning!
