  2. And any connoisseurs I'm a fairly accomplished Cajun Chef, recently my granddaughter & I have working on same recipes for pancakes & waffles from scratch. Being a Cajun I'm well versed in cane syrups, my question is, what's quality Maple Syrup. We've tried a couple but now is time for the real deal.
  3. I'll let y'all have this one & report back!
  4. Been there done that, didn't even get a t-shirt! Hurricane Laura Aug. 27th, 6 weeks later Hurricane Delta Oct 9th. Hopefully y'all get spared
  5. Depending on how thick the hydrilla is I start with 1/2 oz & move up as necessary. Generally I will have 2 rods on deck, 1 with 1/2 & 1 with 3/4. Some instances it maybe 3/4-1 oz.
  6. Tried it once back in the 70s, ended up with the hook eye in my hand.
  7. Trick Worms are simply Zoom version of a straight tail worm. Straight tail worms come in various lengths & are used Texas Rigged, Shaky Heads, Drop Shots or anyway you wanna Rig it.
  8. Typical seaman answer ? If it doesn't move, paint it! My ocd is my rod-n-reels ?
  9. The only way you're gonna find what you asking is by spending time on the water. Map study will give you an idea where hard spots should be but only by graphing can one verify. Have a nice day ?
  10. I don't ? I have but never seen an instance where it helped. Oh it'll get bit for sure but so does one that's not cut.

  15. One of the reasons I love plastics is there are so many things you can do with them & they all catch.
  16. My wife was employed by Ma Bell for 33 years & until Hurricane Rita the office here never closed. I can not tell y'all how many severe thunder storms, tropical depressions, tropical storms, & hurricanes up to cat3 I drove through getting her back & forth to work. Rita was the most intense tropical cyclone on record in the Gulf of Mexico & the fourth-most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded. I had Carolann at work the next morning!
  17. Started out talking fall & some how flipped to spawn. While everyone is running around studying the effects on the bass, y'all need to be studying the effects on the food source.
  18. Audrey made landfall as a Cat3, but in 1957 early warning of weather events were pretty much nonexistent. Audrey stalled off the coast of Cameron, LA giving residents a false sense security. Evacuation of those coastal areas was hindered by the fact the was only one highway out. Total number of deaths was over 500 with the real number unknown. Most deaths were attributed to a 10-12' tidal surge. I was 6 at the time & vividly remember body bags stacked like cord wood.
  19. ♥ For the husband who told his wife I love you one last time before his plane went down in a field ♥ For the wife who stopped in the stairs to call her husband to say I'll love you forever ♥ For mothers and fathers who kissed their kids goodbye the morning they died ♥ For policemen who rushed in with firemen to help get others out only to die themselves ♥ For soldiers who were sent to try and get justice and democracy and lost their lives. ♥ today, tomorrow, 10 years from now, we will remember ♥
  20. A man's got to know his limitations. I've known mine for 58 yrs!
