  1. Both of you guys stink. I've got to finish setting up my new shop tomorrow. Hope you guys catch a few bigguns.
  2. That was fantastic. Loved it. Thanks for posting that, Robert. Gave me a good laugh that I needed.
  3. Antonio Maceo Park has a launch ramp right into Blue Lagoon at the Miami Intl. Airport. I personally haven't fished it, but there is supposed to be some fantastic peacock fishing in that lake.
  4. Great pics, Bill. Looks like an absolute blast.
  5. Sure thing, Sam! Just PM me your credit card info and I'll stimulate away. I've got the itch to buy a few more Dobyns rods. Thanks buddy! Look forward to spending your hard earned money. 8-)
  6. I've used my XPS Stalker bag all over the place down here. Taken it all over the Bahamas while walking the beaches surf fishing as well. It's certainly a larger bag. If you fill it up all the way, it isn't the lightest thing in the world. The bag that South FLA posted really looks interesting also. I may look into one of those myself.
  7. What the... You hit that rock pit up or something? I'm jealous.
  8. I bet it was nice out there today, Mike. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Was kinda ticked off I got stuck doing some work related stuff. I really wanted to get out for a few hours this afternoon.
  9. Count me in. Time for Florida to reclaim the throne.
  10. Thats pretty cool. Should be a lot of fun and quite a learning experience. I've heard nothing but good things about people I've talked to that have been Marshalls.
  11. I'm honestly not sure whom I'd pick to win this one. I think this will be a fantastic game that could go down as one of the better Super Bowl games for a while. I'm really looking forward to watching it. If you were to force me to make a pick....I guess I'd say Pittsburgh. ...... FBL, Al Davis is still in charge. There is no hope.
  12. Pizza Wings Ribs More Ribs A few extra ribs Some more wings Something really bad for me that I'll regret the next morning. Then I'll say I need to buy stock in Charmin. Beer Soda Strong possibility of a glass of rum or two with a cigar
  13. My first Savvy came in the mail a couple of days ago. I can honestly say I'm very surprised in the build quality of the rod. Especially when you factor in the price. I picked up a 733 as a general utility rod. T-rigs, jigs, spinnerbaits, shallow cranks, etc etc. I'm sold on Dobyns rods. If the quality is the same across the board, I'm really not sure if I'll be buying from another rod manufacturer for a while. My ONLY complaint about the rod is the hook keeper. Would have been nice to have an open ended keeper similar to the ones on the Champion series. At least thats a relatively simple fix with a fuji ez-keeper. Fantastically balanced, light, sensitive. There isn't much more you can ask for from a 170 dollar rod. I'm already searching for a second rod from Dobyns. Mr. Dobyns offered me a pretty good deal on a rod that I may be taking shortly. As far as the difference between the Compre and the Savvy goes. Thats a no brainer. I can very easily tell the difference between my Crucials and the Savvy. The Crucials are a far better rod than the Compres.
  14. You're missing something awesome not catching them on topwaters. Thats one absolutely fantastic strike.
  15. I think I'm actually dumber after watching a small portion of the show last night.
  16. Is Braid a must? No. I do use it for most applications though.
  17. Nice job, Snook. Been a while since I've caught a sailfish. Wish I was out on the water today, would have been a gorgeous day to get out and drag some baits on the reef edges.
  18. Eric, keep us updated on the Champion, probably be my next rod. Fishin' it with braid right? I actually cancelled the order on my Champion after playing around with the Savvy for a while. I am completely impressed with that rod. It just oozes quality. I'm sure I'll wind up getting the Champion before too long anyway, but if the entire Savvy lineup is this good, who knows. As far as I understand, the blanks are the same between the Savvy and the Champion, there are just different components used. Better cork, guides, hook keeper, etc etc. I definitely like the color scheme of the Savvy more. As far as the braid goes, I played around a bit with some fluoro and co-poly mainlines, back to braid though. Plenty of sensitivity with both of them, but I'm a braid with a leader kind of person. I just love having that instant hook setting power at any distance.
  19. Yup. Was reading about it late last night. Hell of a fish right there.
  20. Shane, if you want to try out a few Crucials. Shoot me a PM. I've got several of them here at the house if you want to meet up sometime play around with them. They've all got similar reels on them right now to what you normally use.

Not the best in low light conditions. Not terrible though. Again, it's a case of you get what you pay for. For 150 bucks, there is very little I can complain about.
  23. Savvy. Came in unexpectedly today. I've got a 703 Champion on order as well. I'm not ready to drop the cash on a Champion Extreme. Thats a bit out of my price range. I may have to sell a Crucial or two soon....
  24. All of the Ardent reels I've ever used have felt like complete junk. Heavy and they really aren't all that smooth. I won't be buying one of those in the foreseeable future.
