  1. I've had mine fail. Replacement o-rings cost like nothing at home depot. I'll have to check in the garage tomorrow to see what size they are.
  2. They work just fine. Do exactly what they're made to do.
  3. Heck of a job right there. Beautiful.
  4. Got mine earlier today. Man. Katy Perry is freakin hot. I would absolutely wreck that woman.....
  5. I've got a pair of Crucial Flippin sticks now. I'll be buying a third at some point. Very happy with them.
  6. A bunch. Great weather = lots of boats.
  7. I heard this one on the radio. Fantastic. I laughed for a while afterwards. "Facebook this!" WHACK
  8. Theres a few guys that live in Pines that post here. I'm just south of Pines in Miramar. Lots of fantastic lakes in the general area.
  9. You and me both. Right now, things look really positive. So heres to hoping it stays that way.
  10. It's very hard to say who here is the best angler. There are so many people on the forum that fish so many different ways. There are some people on the forum that I've fished with, and others that I certainly would like to. To me, it's not just about your prowess as an angler, but the type of person you are. I've thoroughly enjoyed each and every trip that I've gone on with people from BR. Heres to hoping that will keep happening the next time I go out with somebody from the forums. We may be different people and do different thing. The one thing we all get off on is catching fish. When I was younger, frequently we would make the trip on the boat over to the Bahamas. We would go with another family. The mother and daughter were really nice people. The husband on the other hand was a serious jackass. The dude could really catch fish. He knew what he was doing. I'd never want to spend a day on the water with him though. Having a good time was out of the equation. It was all about catching the most and the biggest fish on the island. After a while, that kind of thing tends to get old. One thing I would love to do is to take out one of you guys that has only fished for bass. Head out offshore, find a good weedline, and get onto a big school of Dolphin. Such ridiculously awesome fun. I'd love to see the look on somebodies face thats new to that kind of fishing.
  11. I think all of those guys were using Lake Fork Plastics.
  12. If I can make it, I'm in for 100 bucks on the big fish. Thats no big deal. I may have to buy another rod tube. I've got a pair of them here, need to see how my rods will fit in them. Aint going to be bringing any tiny rods with me. Hell, two Roberts in the thread. This may get confusing. Robert-FLA: That would be great if a few of us from down here can make it. Would make that long flight over much more bearable with some people you know on it. I'll know more in the next couple of months. Everything hinges on how business goes right now. Coming into my busy season right now. Things have been really up and down this year. Every time something seems like it's going great, theres been a big crash somewhere. I'm all but separated from the first company I opened with a few partners. My brother and I are probably going to go at it alone. Things are "looking" good right now. Time will tell though. Thankfully theres plenty of advance time to plan right now.
  13. Love that d**n show. What I wouldn't give to fish in some of the places he's visited.
  14. Welcome! There are plenty of local guys down here in the South Florida area. Feel free to ask any questions or post fishing reports. Check out the SE forum to see whats happening locally.

  16. First thing. Did you run the cost by her yet? Second thing. If I ever decide to get married, I need a woman like that.
  17. Thats my favorite part about fishing. No matter what your level of involvement in the sport is, you can always relate with everybody else. From the top pros down to the kid sitting on the bank with a rod, everybody just wants to catch a fish. Fishing has really made me want to pursue a different career path in life. I've got no desire to become a pro though. I'd much rather get into the product development and or journalism side of things. This is one of those times that I really wish I took some advanced writing classes in college.
  18. I believe my fill up earlier today was $3.09 for 87. I honestly don't even look all that much anymore. It just makes me want to cry whenever I swipe the card at a gas station. The last time I filled up the boat to make a trip offshore it was just over 400 bucks to fill the tank (135 gallons). That was a couple of weeks ago. It aint getting any cheaper right now either.
  19. I may be able to do November. We'll have to see though. As much as I'd want to just say screw it and book a flight, I've gotta keep a few other priorities ahead of it. November does look promising though.
  20. Boy, thats tempting as all hell. d**n you all for thinking about this a few months before I start boat shopping.
  21. Good luck guys. Hope you all stick some big ones. Weather should be pretty good out there.
  22. They really are fun to fish. I found out recently that one of the lakes I fish frequently had a 13 pounder come out of it. I'll be spending more time out there soon.... Great pics, Orpssab. Nice fat healthy fish.
  23. Theres a different way you handle your rods when YOU pay for them. Most of those guys have sponsorship deals with a rod and or reel manufacturer.
  24. I use my buff mostly for bugs. It does keep you cooler when it's hot out though. With cutting my hair as short as I do, I also use it to keep the sun off of my head. There is nothing worse than burning your head and or neck...
