  1. You'll love it. The only complaint I have about them, all Shimano rods really, is the hook keeper design. Thats easily fixed with a Fuji EZ-Keeper though. They're right on par with the Avid. I just didn't like the handle on the Avids, thats why I've gone with the Crucials. I'll be adding a few more of them to my collection before too much longer.
  2. That is fan-d**n-tastic. lmao
  3. I'd love to try some of the newer braids. Power Pro has been very good to me in both salt and freshwater. It's cheap, available everywhere, and performs just fine. It's it a bit noisier than other braids? Sure. Does it hook and land just as many fish as other braids? Sure. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
  4. He's had a hell of a year. If I had a vote, I'd probably pick him. Theres been some other great seasons this year, but he's on top. I can't stand the freakin Pats......
  5. Just being out on the water is enough for me. I'm good with that. Now, I still get excited just like when I was a kid. If I'm going on a big trip or something, I'll have trouble sleeping the night before. Just the thought of catching a huge fish will get my blood moving at warp speed.
  6. The Citicas definitely cast better. I'm not sure about the Revo. They're good reels. For the money spent, the Citica is the better reel. The Pro Qualifer from BPS is a great reel, especially when you can get them on sale. The DBS braking on the Bass Pro reels is very handy though. Especially if you're new to casting reels, or if you're fishing in heavy wind.
  7. With frog fishing you're generally using a fairly heavy gauge hook. You're using Braid so you can get a very good hookset, even at long distances. The no stretch quality of braid can make for a bone jarring set. Besides the brute strength of braid, another benefit is that it will saw through vegetation where other lines would tend to get hung up. The smaller diameter braids will cut through grass better at the cost of strength. I've used 40 lb for a while now and never had a problem with it.
  8. I personally use 30 for that. I've never really had a problem with braid digging on 30. Other people have. The difference in line size between 30 and 40 isn't all that major. Take your pick with either one and you'll be fine.
  9. I admire you guys that keep accurate records. I've tried and just can't keep up on it. I'll just keep records in my mind and hope for the best.

  12. He gave a great interview after the game.
  13. I'm not much of a Womens Basketball fan. Actually I'm not a fan at all. UCONN's 90 game win streak is over though. Pretty impressive to win that many times in a row.
  14. What a ridiculously wild *** finish!
  15. I've got a few of them. Pretty good lures. A bit on the pricey side though. At under 3 bucks a piece I would have bought a whole slew of them.
  16. No leader needed for a frog.
  17. Yet another reason to love Florida. Great fish, Dwight. While you poor suckers are up north freezing, theres big bass to be caught down here!
  18. For most of my plastics I use a straight shank. For thicker bodied plastics I'll use an EWG. Size depends on the lure being used.
  19. Are you a jilted ex lover? Caught your spouse or significant other cheating? Have a neighbor that seriously ticked you off? No problem! Give them the gift of crabs! Thats right, crabs in a vial! http://www.crabrevenge.com Awesome.
  20. Yes, it is a team. Not sure if he is still in the army, but I think he is. If not he was in, he mentioned it in the show. That dude is aggravating as hell. I didn't even watch all that much of it and I heard more "hooahs" than I heard the entire time I was on active duty while watching the show. I wanted to punch him in the jejunum.
  21. I fell asleep after watching a few minutes of it. I woke up just in time to see the end. Yeah. That was....yeah.
  22. I can stand in mine without a problem. I primarily fish by myself though. The times I've had my father or kids with me, they sit down for the most part. If they do stand, you've gotta communicate.
  23. What size of jon do you have? 12 Footer. I've got a standard bed truck. It hangs over a little bit, nothing excessive though.
  24. It may be a while before I actually get mine into the back of the truck again, but I'll take a picture. I just set mine in the bed and ratchet strap it down. I'll move the batteries to the front of the boat so all the weight is forward and not hanging off the back of the tailgate. Never had an issue with it. I'd love to have a trailer for it. That would definitely make it a lot easier to get the boat into and out of the water. Just not possible without a place to store it.
