  1. Baby bass colored lures just happen to be a great natural colored bait. Thats the reason they get bit. Bass will eat anything they can get their mouths around.

  4. The one thing I'm kinda surprised that that boat doesn't have is a recessed foot pedal for the TM. If I had the cash burning a hole in my pocket, I'd buy it.
  5. I take mine on about every fishing trip I go on. I fish...a lot. My bag doesn't have a single tear in it, worn spot, or anything out of the ordinary. Fantastic bag.
  6. I stick with general shades of color instead of specific names. Green Pumpkin, Watermelon, and Junebug are probably the three I use the most.
  7. 7'2" M XFast Crucial Drop Shot/Shaky Head rod. Fantastic stick.
  8. Awesome fish, Francho. I need to do some fishing one day up there when I take my daughters to visit their mother. Gives me another excuse to take a flight up north.
  9. Happy new years to you all. Heres to having a great 2011.
  10. A screw it. I'll buy another Citica. Then a dedicated swimbait rod and reel. Problem solved.
  11. Eco pro used to have a fantastic price. They were the only place I bought from for a while. They raised the price enough that they're pretty much on par with the other tungsten companies now.
  12. Man I could put that thing to some great use. Cool looking little boat.
  13. Have one on my primary heavy cover rod.
  14. So I'm looking at getting my last reel for the year... It's between a new Citica or a Cardiff. The rod it's going on is a 7'6" flippin stick that I use for swimbaits, larger t-rigs, and light flippin and pitchin. I'll occasionally put a jig on it as well. I've never used or handled a Cardiff before. I'm just wondering if any of you guys out there have any opinions between the two. Going to be using 15 to 20 pound Hybrid on it more than likely. The swimbaits I toss range from swim senkos, dippers, up to 1 ounce hard baits. The only thing I'm wondering about is how well the Cardiff will pitch the smaller profiled pitching baits and whatnot. I've read that it's a fairly easy reel to palm, but I'm not sure how true that is. I'll also occasionally be using it for some saltwater fishing as well. Appreciate any input you guys have.
  15. Very cool indeed, RW. Doug is a great guy to get out on the water with too.
  16. I've been using 15 and 20 pound Hybrid lately for the same basic thing. Couldn't really be happier with it.
  17. Never had an issue with mine when I do that.

  19. Buy the widest you can find/afford. I've got a 1236 and I can stand in it without a problem. No decking, just have a wooden floor to stand on. I certainly wish it was a bit wider though. A 1242 or 1248 would be much nicer. 500 bucks should get you a decent Jon.
  20. Thats just wrong.
  21. I'd pay a lot of money just to have that show removed from the airwaves. Theres gotta be laws against TV pollution somewhere.
  22. I love watching this stuff when I've got some free time. I'm sure you guys up north will enjoy it even more when you can't fish.
