The Tierra is a nice reel for throwing your cranks , the gears are a little slow (4.7:1 , 28 IPT) but for plastics I perfer a faster reel with something like 6.2:1 gears , 35 IPT. Check out the Shimano Symetre 2500 , front drag (99.99) or the Pflueger Supreme 9035. (99.95)
