  1. Well since this post I've been there a couple times. Both times caught over 10 fish a couple around 2lbs (which is a good council bluff lake fish). I really fell like you have to go deeper there year round and stop beating the banks even in the spring. Best fishing you can do there is before or during a pretty good storm front. Which kinda sucks. We've pulled 4lb+ fish out right before storms. That's why I say go deeper. Those big guns will be there no matter what the front is doing
  2. I have a 7' MHF micro guide veritas and one of them throws nothing but senkos. I have it paired with a revo premier. Fish it almost daily this way
  3. I also just bought three of them right at Christmas so they should be current
  4. That's funny. I throw 1/4 oz t-rigs and weightless senkos on mine all the time. But when I reel down the slack and set the hook on a jig or Carolina rig I feel waaaaay too much give
  5. All of mine are the micro guide series
  6. Well honestly I can get a veracity for $100 and I'm scared of getting a lemon with the veritas like so many other people I've heard of. Never had a problem personally but now I'm gun shy
  7. I have 3 of that exact rod. I love the rods but want more backbone. I'm just wondering if I'd be better with a 7' 3" or a 7' 6". Veracity is 36 ton graphite as well. Veritas is only 30 ton
  8. I bought a kvd reel last year. I hate it. Just sold it actually. Didn't like the feel of it and couldn't dial it in. I'll stick with my revos
  9. ^^^x2. It depends mainly on your rod
  10. Well I do not nor does anyone I know have any experience using a veracity. Everyone I know has only used veritas and vendettas. So I didn't know if they were hated on as much as the veritas
  11. Yes I already have a sweatshirt too lol. So I'm not letting that play too big of a factor
  12. I'm starting to lean more towards the veracity. I know that their typically rated heavier than what they are labeled. I'm just hoping that a 7' 6" MH isn't a broom stick and I can still cast 1/4 oz t-rigs, jigs and Carolina rigs without losing sensitivity. I have 7' MH veritas but I don't like the lack of backbone they have for jigs and Carolina rigs
  13. The duckettt scare me for two reasons. 1. The guides on the ghost series. 2. Their under rated on power
  14. I'm also a big abu fan. Love revos and never broke an abu rod or had any issues. Do you by any chance have an abu rod in the 7' 6"MH?
  15. Yea but I'm not spending $150. I can buy the veracity for $100 like I said in my origional post. That's y I am comparing it to the ghost
  16. I know I keep posting questions about the same topic but I have narrowed it down to these two. Which would you choose? They both will cost me $100
  17. I'm a fan of seaguar invisx
  18. I can get these rods for $100. I have several 7' MH veritas rods and I love them but they don't seem to have enough backbone for 3/8oz jigs and bigger. I've never had any quality issues with abu rods so I'm not trying to start another thread in that. I have buddies with vendettas and veritas rods and they love them too. I was just wondering if a 7' 6" MH veracity is going to be too stout to cast a 1/4oz t-rig rage craw. Or a Carolina rig. I would think that it would be fine for 1/2oz jigs and frogs with the cover I fish. I just want a good rod with enough backbone that I have a little extra backbone left on the back burner if needed. However I do not want to sacrifice sensitivity. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  19. Well I was torn between the 7' 3" MH Duckett ghost and the 7' 3" Heavy Duckett ghost. I'm starting to think the heavy may be the way to go
  20. What he said ^^^^
  21. I have read that the power ratings of the Duckett Micromagic are off. To where a Heavy feels like a MH, and a MH feels like a Medium. Anyone have any feedback on this? I am planning on buying one but don't want to be disappointed
