  1. 5" senko - 3/0 gamakatsu
  2. I would agree. I think that the color of a spook would not matter nearly as much as that of a soft plastic. Senko, finesse, etc.
  3. As far as spinnerbaits and buzz baits, the only kind I throw are war eagle! As far as color. Spinnerbaits could be just about anything depending on water clarity, etc. white white/ chartreuse would be a safe start though. And buzz baits you could cover a lot of fish with a white one and a black one. It all comes down to where your fishing!
  4. The comments above are pretty good. I ran into the same problem a few days ago. Couldn't buy a bite! I threw all of the above and left empty handed. It was my first time at this lake. Hopefully next time I'll turn my luck around there!
  5. Last week I fished out of a buddies Jon boat on a local river. Caught 11 nice ones in just a few hours.... All I needed was a 5" dinger
  6. We'll I think I have limited it down. Like I said before I have several spro frogs and I will continue to use them but now I am torn between the live target and the booyah. Never been much of a booyah fan but the frogs look good, have good reviews and are almost half the price
  7. Well the lakes I fish are eithe crystal clear, or chocolate milk muddy. The main Lilly pad/ matted vegetation lakes are muddy water though
  8. Also what size? 5/8 or 3/4? I'm not sure what size all my spro frogs are...
  9. Those live target frogs look great. What colors do you all prefer? Green/yellow?
  10. Like what?

Does anyone throw the zoom z hog? If so how do you throw it? T-rigged with a bullet weight? Weightless? Any ideas or suggestions? I just bought a pack and I'm interested on how I will like it
  12. I have several different frogs that I fish around pads. I have spro, ribbit, and hard nosed. I was just wondering what everyone else's favorite frogs were to throw. And if it's a style like the spro frog do you like the origional style or the popper front style?
  13. I have tried several different company's senko knock off. Everything from yamamoto on... The only thing that is in my boat now is the yum dinger. I wouldn't waste my money on any others. If you fish really clear water try the 5" in watermelon pearl laminate. They can't resist them. Even in stained water that is my go to color!
  14. Clear water- watermelon red flake, watermelon pearl laminate, pumpkin Muddy water- black, junebug
  15. My crank bait reel is a revo winch 5.2.1
  16. I'm not a big fan of scents but that's something I should probably invest a little more effort in. Yum's scent is awesome though. The F2 ferocity scent that comes on their soft plastics put fish in the boat. I'm a big fan. I have the crawfish scent. So I can't tell you one way or another but I am a yum believer
  17. For me I have by far the best luck on strike king XD series. I fish very clear water and they have that perfect wobble. Tennessee Shad is my go to color in summertime
  18. It's a private lake community in SE Missouri. Just wondering if had any other fellow anglers on here?
  19. The boat ramp at wappapello isn't the problem. It's getting outside of the Chanel that is. If you don't pay attention when your running your in trouble. It's a good lake though.
  20. I have had a bass boat for years and just decided to get a new one. I fish a lot of shallow stump filled lakes here in SE MO so I was on the fence as to go with a new aluminum or a new fiberglass. Well I went with the new Ranger RT188 and it is the best of both worlds. It's an aluminum hull but has all of the characteristics of a fiberglass. Everything from storage and so on. I have had a basstracker for years and let me tell you. There is no comparison. These boats will hold up to a 115 horse (which is a must) and can be designed to your liking. Also they are a lot cheaper than the same boat in a fiberglass model!
  21. I just ordered a new ranger rt188 a couple weeks ago and I ordered it with 2 lowrance elite 7hdi units. I was just wondering if anyone on here has used them and what they think about them?
  22. I have caught 54 so far in southeast Missouri. Number would be higher but I just sold my bass boat last week and I'm waiting on my new ranger to be delivered!!!
  23. I just fished a place like that yesterday. Only thing I threw was t-rigged senkos. I tore em up.
  24. Just wondering if anyone on here has been fishing clearwater lake in MO? If so how are you doing and what are you throwing? I live about an hour and a half north of it in Farmington and I'm planning on hitting it a few times this year.
