  1. Looking good. We need to get you on some big girls with those new swimbaits.
  2. Your reasoning does show maturity, but I am going to say go ahead and get the Powell. Spend money on nice things like that while you can. I assume you live with your parents, have few or no bills, and no responsibilities to speak of. If I could have spent all the money I wasted when I was younger on some nice rods and reels I'd actually have something to show for it. Go ahead and get them while you have the money...once you have a mortgage, car payment, etc there might not be room for luxuries like that.
  3. Good deal...looks like you've got it pretty dialed in.
  4. I recently started fishing a couple of ponds like that and it's amazing. Enjoy it!!
  5. Nice pics and fish!! I love the scenery.
  6. Nice fish! You seem to catch a number of good fish. Do you mainly fish one or two bodies of water or several?

Very nice fish!! She looks plump and happy.
  8. Amazing as always!! That Brookie is spectacular...quite a bit bigger than my PB Brookie.
  9. Ask in the Shimano forum...this will probably get moved actually.
  10. Spectacular as always! I've got to make a trip down there sometime next year. You guys seem to slay them every time out on the Stickmarsh.
  11. Great story!! Sorry for the night you had, but thanks for sharing.
  12. Very nice!! The culprit worms are definitely a winner.
  13. Man I like that idea!!
  14. The baitmonkey's still got me pretty good, but the tool monkey is off my back now. I don't even get excited when the Snap-On truck comes to the shop anymore....I guess these things come and go.
  15. Even though you'll be limted to one rod and reel for your trip, that doesn't mean you're limited in your tackle choices. I would take a little bit of everything just in case. Start with your most versatile setup and try out some crankbaits, spinnerbaits, t-rigged worms, weightless senkos, etc, etc....
  16. Very nice!! Glad you got her loose.
  17. You sir are one lucky man!! Thanks for sharing those great pictures and the story. Those trout are spectacular.
  18. Very nice fish!! What a way to end the day.
  19. For weightless soft plastics get a Medium Power/ Fast Action spinning rod/ Shimano Symetre or Stradic. 8-) Yeah if you're only throwing lighter worms you should go with a Med Power with a Fast or Extra Fast Action. I use a Falcon Cara "Weightless Worm" Rod. It's rated as a MH with extra fast action, but it's not as stiff as most MH's would be. I absolutely love it. Check that one out as well.
  20. Good times!! So much more where that came from...
  21. Looks like you had a good time. I can't wait to catch one of those 6's!!
  22. IME Pline CXX is actually a larger diameter than comparable lines in the same pound test.
