Can Keep Flourocarbon From Spinning Off Reel!
I wouldn't put 10# on a spinning reel...let alone FC.

Has The Fall Bite Started?
Water is surprisingly starting to cool down here. Caught 20 yesterday on a finesse jig.

Looking For A Swimbait Combo
Tired of catching all these 3-5 pounders... It's time to start going after the big girls. I need to get a combo for throwing swimbaits. Right now I'm looking at a Cardiff 200A, I really need a reel that can double as a catfishing reel as I've been really into them lately. Will the Cardiff 200 hold enough 17# CXX? As for the rod, I'm looking at the Loomis 904c or the Dobyns 795. I'm afraid the Dobyns will be alittle too powerfull for what I'm gonna be throwing. It'll mostly be 1-2 oz baits. Matt's Tournament Series (Bass) U2 Bluegill 6" Huddleston Matt's Baby Bass Any experience with either rod would be a big help.

Dobyns Savvy Or Duckett
I own a Savvy 734c. If I could only take one rod with me to my next life, it would be the SS734c, Champion 734c, or DX744c. They are awesome rods. I would highly recommend the Savvy.

What Would You Do If You Couldn't Fish...
Hunt, probably be in really good shape, and party a lot (more). Fishing keeps me stress free and in check.

Gotta Do It
I agree, at the sale price they are a steal! Especially the Citica. I wouldn't pay full price for either, but for $40-70 you can't go wrong.

And O he's definitely getting the blocky body goin'. Should be a real nice dear in two years if a car doesn't take him first.

That flathead should have been pushing 18 for sure! Big-O you're right, probably more like 4 due to the thick neck, chest and butt. I didn't really look hard until right now. Really nice, symmetrical rack. Beautiful creature. Couldn't agree more about the flatheads, when this one came up and I saw all of her for the first time it was so beautiful the hair on the back of my neck stood up. It was amazing.

Couldn't Resist Price
Don't get me wrong, if I wanted a $100 reel I would get a Citica 200e. Not the new Caenan/Citica crap, though. I had an E7, liked the Citica WAY better. But I really prefer to fish at least a Zillion or better now. They're so smooth!

Couldn't Resist Price
Haha, that's great.

Put my buddy on his PB bass yesterday. 6 pounds even. He also caught his first Channel the other night. Also 6 pounds. My other buddy with his first Channel from last night. Went for shovelheads the other day, caught a beautiful one. Only 12, basically a dink, but it was a gorgeous fish. And saw this 2 year old yesterday and snapped a couple pics.

You Guys Ready?
I like winter!

Couldn't Resist Price
I agree, in the $100-$200 range Shimano is the best value, but once you get up to say, $250, it's Daiwa all the way. My Zillions make a Curado look like a $10 reel.

Hurricane Sam

Catching Big Fish Consistently
Really? I've caught a seven, two sixes, and probably 20 four pounders this year on a Baby Thumper, which is closer to 6 inches than 7. I've caught bass up to seven on a 1/16 oz beetlespin, and caught a five last year on a 1/64 oz crappie jig. I throw big baits a lot, but most of the time they won't get bit nearly as much as a smaller version. Bass are opportunistic feeders. If you drop a 4" finesse worm right on their nose at the right time, bam.

Punching
In addition to Sweet Beavers, probably my all-time favorite flipping/punching bait is a Chigger Craw.

You Guys Ready?
Fall is closing in...are you guys ready for some fall bass? As much as I love fishing plastics and topwater in the heat of the summer, I sure love some fall spinnerbaiting as well...I'm ready.

This Sucks...
Yep, I know a lot of people have it much worse right now, and I'm thankful we're ok. Lucky we didn't have any trees down. Once again I hope everyone is doing ok, I think probably half of the forum doesn't have power, LOL.
