  1. Jeff, I still think your Tundra is downright nasty. If I'm ever in Tennessee, I'm gonna hit you up for some fishing. Honda makes a great car. I have a 2002 Accord that has 167,000 on it, still runs well. The 6,000 I have put on it have been very hard, I usually just gun it. Think I messed up the tranny, but it still runs and I drive a lot less aggressively now. Great cars. My next car will either be a truck or a very fast sedan, though.
  2. Kistler will be tip-heavy, the Dobyns will literally float in your hand!
  3. Well, I almost got my three pond-hopping combos downb and ready to fish. I just need to get a reel for the Champion 735c, which will probably be a T3 Ballistic. Here we go: Dobyns Savvy 734c - Zillion 100HSA - 50# braid - Main Rage Tail rod, mostly for the moving presentations, such as the keel-weighted Eeliminator, swim-jigs, Rage Shads, etc. Will be used for bottom Rage Tailing in the mean-time. Cumara CUC-72MH - Curado 50e - 14# Sunline Super FC Sniper - Finesse stuff, smaller stuff, mainly plastics. This rod is perfect for Baby Thumpers *** - Champion 735c - 50# braid - Flippin', pitching, frogs, heavy plastics. I really like this rod, very versitile for a lot of different things. Reel is yet to be decided. I'll post a better pic tommorow when I'm in ther right stae of mind.
  4. Even though you got it fixed, I would upgrade the reel to something nicer if the money is available.
  5. A Citica would do a great job. I like a long rod for punching.
  6. Dude I'm gonna get like 5 more Dobyns. Even the d**n Savvy is sweet.
  7. The SS735c has a slightly slower action than the Champion 735c, due to the fast action rather than XF. It would be a good 10" worm rod, and well as pitching but will excell in the hollow body frog category. Really just the perfect frog rod, but a versitile rod as well. The only catch is that Dobyns rods will crumble if you put a Shimano on, they deserve a Daiwa.
  8. Man oh MAN! This frog looks good and the price is right. Gonna give 'em a go and let you guys know how they are. http://www.***.com/Evolve_Nervous_Walker_Frog/descpage-VNWF.html
  9. Rage Thumper, Blue Fleck.
  10. If you're going to go $600, a Zillion/Champion Extreme would be very hard to beat.
  11. Summer Ale is very good. I definitely like the citrus and lemon zest. Not much of a Curado guy, had an e7 for a whike and it was just "eh". Got a Zillion and was like "holy s***".
  12. Not the first time
  13. Tackle Warehouse Dobyns Ford BP Copenhagen Ranger Walmart
  14. Got it today...wow. Perfect action for my Rage Tail fishing and the sensitivity is very much on par with my Champion.
  15. A dropshot is one of the worst baits for "hanging" up.
  16. I guess I "misread" it too, yet every time I re-read it, it still doesn't make sense. The $400 range for what? A combo? Rod? Reel? There's no "misunderstanding" here bud, you left out a few words, and it didn't make sense.
  17. X2, I'll spend more money on the rod ANY day. Like Hooligan said, the rod is one of the more important things in your fishing.
  18. The length was my main concern, I'm using a 7'2 MH/F Cumara right now and it even feels too short. Might have to look at on of the new Crucial Reaction rods, or even the cranking rods. Probably go for a Dobyns though, LOL.
  19. Hooligan, is it good for ripping lipless cranks and throwing 3/8 oz. squarebills? My buddy got me into both those techniques and I may pick up a rig for it later this year.
  20. ipod touch. Changed my life. Ipad, also changed my life. Verizon Mifi, that thing is awesome. Fishing related; buying that first pack of Rage Craws last spring.
  21. The thing is, I could have gotten a DX, but I was more interested in trying the Savvy line first. Many DX rods are in my future.
  22. I don't really buy Zoom anymore, but the air pockets neve affected the catch rate, it just ticked me off.

I will say this, they catch a lot of small fish, but if you put it on a big one's head (haha), she'll nail it.
