  1. My two biggest fish were caught on CXX so I cannot complain about that line.
  2. I do A LOT of swimbait fishing during the dog days of summer here in MN, and my favorite bait being the RI skinny dipper. The problem I have had is finding a color that "matches the hatch". Up here our bass mostly feed on perch and bludgill; does anyone know of a smaller lure manufacturer I may not have found yet that offers a good swimbait with a more defined perch/bluegill color? Thanks, Nick
  3. IMO the sure sets are some of the worst hooks ever made..Very weak hooks that will break if put under any type of pressure; I have had them brake just taking them out of the fish's mouth.
  4. Another Owner Stinger recommendation
  5. ^ I just got my 3 from TW and I can tell you without fishing them that the hooks will need to be replaced. I felt as if they were going to snap just trying to bend them.
  6. I am also curious about any cyber Monday deals, especially involving Curados!
  7. TW -Cavitron's -Chigger craws -Luck E Strike sticks -Tungsten weights -Paca Chunks -Ring Fry's GM - All pastics were $1.50!! -Senkos -Paca Craws -Picasso Jig heads -Berkeley heavy sink worms -Caffeine Shads
  8. This sale will keep you busy for awhile!
  9. Like Hi Salenity asked, is that Academy sale on the curados going to be online?
  10. Pilgrim, Looking for a righty, but thanks for the heads up. VC
  11. I am not shying away from the 200 series at all, in fact I have about 6 all together. I just like the 50e for my pitching and jig rods. They fit so nicely into my hand and I don't need to extra line for those techniques.
  12. When I want to get a slower presentation, I just size down and put on a trailer that has larger appendages i.e. beaver baits, fighting frog, etc.
  13. I have about 25 jerkbaits in my box and 23 of them are either pointer 78sp or Staysees. In my opinion, it is hard to find another jerkbait that can out produce the 78. When you want to get down to the 8-10ft range, the staysee gets it done. As far as colors go, I have a lot of confidence in blugill and chartreause shad.
  14. Anyone know of deals going on for this reel? I just missed one a month back for $99... Thanks, VC
  15. You can't go wrong fishing a 78sp or Rougue in 1-5 ft. , and an LC Staysee in 6-10 ft.
  16. Another vote for the fat3...It has wide wobble that at times in the summer, the fish cannot resist.
  17. North Star makes a grass jig head that is EXCELLENT. I fish the same situations as you and I almost never get hung up.
  18. Thanks Lee.MD, Poor Boy's Baits K.I.S.S Craw
  19. Thanks, Long-Range-Junkie. Does anyone have first hand experience with the Crucial rod? Still thinking about adding a few for some other techniques. Also if anyone has news on a new line of Cumara's coming out please let me know. Thanks! VC
  20. Anyone have experience with the new crucials, in particular the one I am considering? How are they compared to the current line of cumara's?
  21. I am looking into getting a new crucial 7'2" MH as a spinnerbait rod becuase I have read it is the same black as the cumara. Is there any news of a new cumara coming out? Or are they just going to keep that line the same? Thanks, VC
  22. You fishing largemouth? Let us know how you do. I generally use hair jigs for smallies, but I have always wondered how well they catch the greenies.
  23. Just got some that were the same way...I'm sure it will change the swimming action in some way, which worries me because I bought about ten packs hah.
  24. Just in time for some fall jig fishing!
