  1. Anyone have a link to the preview? Or is the pic all that has been released?
  2. Size can definitely play a role in whether you get bit or not. In fact I generally start with small and then depending on the bite I will size up. I would try downsizing, with either a bitsy bug (I love their size options) or a NorthStar finesse jig.
  3. 12" Junebug Ribbontail worm; just one of those confidence things
  4. Like others have said, flippin/pitchin are techniques that do not require a certain type of equipment. Generally, anglers like to use a longer rod with power to get fish out of heavy cover. Some of the baits I use are: -Baby Brush hogs -Beaver baits (I actually really like the slurpies brush beaver) -Lizards -Chigger Craws/Paca Craws This list could go on awhile..
  5. Thanks Fat-G for the kind works, but I agree, what am I doing that is different then you? I state a response to a question that again is my honest opinion because THEY WORK!
  6. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I was just posting to show my recent success and crazy the fish have been biting! BTW if you look back at my NorthStar posts, most of them are responding to an original question that had to do with either jigs or spinnerbaits. GreyWolf is making it seem as if I am going out of my way to start multiple threads promoting NorthStar, which has never happened....Since when is it a sin to voice your opinion?....
  7. NorthStar Swim Jig Zoom Lizard Perch Shad Rap
  8. It wasn't directed towards you. GreyWolf has always had a problem whenever I bring up NorthStar and he goes out of his way to make it apparent for awhile. Trust me, it will take a lot more to hurt my feelings and I will continue to promote the best jig company because that is what I believe.
  9. Notice how I didn't bring up NorthStar in my original thread because of that very reason? Way to make something out of nothing, like you do most of the time.
  10. NorthStar Swim Jig
  11. BTW can you guys tell I've been couped up all winter?
  12. All over 4.5 lbs and caught on one bait
  13. Waste of time and money. Like others said, spend your money on a bait that you will have more confidence in.
  14. Why not? I've had a lot of luck dropshotting a baby brush hog and they have a similar profile
  15. Have yet to throw this bait, but it looks like it would be good on beds
  16. I use a 7'6" MH Cabelas XMLTI and absolutely love it, so I have never had a reason to try another rod.
  17. 14+ Anywhere I can throw my DD's and DT's
  18. Every time? dhami013 might have found us the long searched magic bait!! All seriousness there is no one bait that will catch a fish every time. No matter how short/long you work a fish, there are days when they just wont bite anything and others where you could catch them on a beer cap.
  19. When I have exhausted all my efforts with some of the baits already listed, I dropshot a 4" lizard or baby brush hog, it has been very successful for me

I will start throwing swim jigs as soon as I am able to, but the bite seems to start heating up once the water hits that 50 degree mark.
  21. I like to follow up fish with a zoom finesse worm if they bump the bait or miss on a strike, but when they spit the hook I usually just toss back in one more time and then move on.

fishnbarrel, Look back at the thread, there are plenty of posts regarding size...Just like everything I throw, it is either based on the weather, water clarity, and time of the year. *In the spring, bass are feeding heavily of bait fish so i tend to throw, like Aaron said, bluegill or perch pattern swim jigs. *When fishing stained or overcast conditions, choose something that the fish can easily hone in on; for me it is blue, white, or white/chartreuse. I don't throw swim jigs that often in the summer, but when I do it will be a green pumpkin/red color. Hope this helps!
  23. Dobyns 765 gets my vote as well, it is one of those sticks that change your outlook on everything else.
  24. I might have to with the Sale GM has going on right now, 40% off all NetBait products. Thanks for the tip!
  25. It's all personal preference. IMO, the Revo is a smoother casting reel, but the Curado has a little more distance, and also handles lighter baits better. Again, just my opinion from owning SX's and Curados
