  1. Chartruese/ blue back Enough said
  2. If I'm fishing lmouth in the spring, ill pick up a lipless crank everytime over a jerkbait
  3. There is no right answer. Be creative and try new things out. For active feeding periods, I like a trailer that has a lot of action, and vice versa. This spring I'll throw a lot of grub and solitary tails on my swim jigs
  4. Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone post on their smart phone? I hate the new online smart phone site...can't edit posts
  5. Throwing plastic and hollow belly frogs in the middle of summer in the scum pads is hard to beat for both pure excitement and size. This is when I seem to catch a lot of my donkeys for the year. Loooovvveee me some ribbits!

  7. Already did a search. I always thought you could talk about other companies/organizations as long as you aren't going out of your to promote them. In my case, I am just asking a question from a non-members perspective. Lock it up if need be
  8. Why would this this get locked? It's a legit question..
  9. I got a package in the mail the other day from the North American Fishing Club. I have never heard of it before, but the fact that you can try and keep tackle caught my eye. Is this a scam? How do you guys that are members like the club? Thanks, VC
  10. Zoom ol monster NorthStar's 10" worm
  11. NorthStar hair jig with their matching trailer
  12. First off, I start with chart/blue every time I am throwing cranks, no matter what the conditions are. I feel like it has the qualities of bluegill in danger in clearer water, as well as that brightness for dingier water. Darker water again I like anything that will make it easier for the bass to spot and locate the bait. Some of my favorites include: White shad, black and red/blue, silver black back, chartreuse/blue, Firetiger, Hot Mustard. Clearer water is when you want to go with more subtle/natural looking colors like: Perch, Bluegill, Shad, etc. Marty also brings up a good point that conventional wisdom doesn't always work. Don't be afraid to switch things up if needed. Some colors work well on some bodies of water and don't on others. Don't over complicate color selection, your head and wallet will be hurting
  13. Impressions? I can get one new for $90, good deal? Thanks, VC
  14. Ghost or translucent colors can be very successful in clear to clear/mod stained water...it is a more natural looking presentation compared to a color that "pops" that would be used in dingier water. Keep it simple and don't over think
  15. Roboworm Zoom tiny fluke baby bass Zipper worm NorthStar has a new ds bait called the Aurora shad...can't wait to throw that this year
  16. Vinny Chase replied to .ghoti.'s topic in Fishing Tackle
Have you tried using them like a buzzbait? If they miss it, just pitch a trick worm back at it....deadly combo
  17. Vinny Chase replied to BDM's topic in Fishing Tackle
Doesn't hurt to try, but I would just use a wide wobbling crank bait instead like a mag wart
  18. I've been waiting for this post for A LONG time! Can you order from Academy.com? It might be because I am not signed in, but there isnt a purchase option available.
  19. There are better options out there like the x-rap for a few bucks more...This winter my buddy and I fished the river for smallies. He was using a DB and I was using an x-rap, both were similar color patterns..Let's just say I outfished him 10:1, and that is saying a lot because river smallies in my neck of the woods are DUMB!!
  20. I only saw the dtflat9s on sale...might just be me, but I don't think any of the ones I own have touched the water..
  21. Eagle Claw bobber stoppers
  22. BTD has better pricing on terminal tackle, that is why I was asking specifically about their sale...I dont need more reason to plan another order with TW!!!!
  23. I guess I'm going to have to
  24. Does anyone know when the next sale is going to be? I am in of some terminal tackle before the year starts!
