  1. Looks like a good shaky head and carolina bait
  2. If you are looking to add a little flash to your swimbaits, I would recommend using a swarming hornet and live magic shad 8-)
  3. X2. Awkward looking action in the water
  4. Thanks for the heads up! Just gives me a reason to get some xraps
  5. X2. That would be what we like to call overkill
  6. For numbers: 1) Trick Worm 2) Finesse jig 3) Baby Brush hog For size: 1) DD22 2) NorthStar Hippy jig 3) Bully Wa frog/Ribbit frog
  7. Vinny, your posts are always informative! While were on the topic, what other cranks do you suggest for a more tight wobble? I am trying to become more proficient of a cranker this season, as last season I found myself holding my jig rod far too often (too often only because they WEREN'T BITING it) Thanks CollegeFishing12, Do you have any Gander Mountains in your area? If so, I would go there as soon as you can and pick up as many of the DT series as you can, they are on sale for $4.95. As far as other tight wobble crankbaits, it all starts with the shad rap. The shad rap is right up there with the flat's as being the most productive crank in fall and spring. Also check out: Bomber A family, Rattle Traps, Norman N family Vinny, you should be able to find them for $3.99 at the Gander in Eden Prairie. I've bought a bunch from there, and they are continually restocking it with new colors. Yeah, I need more dt's like a need a hole in my head! Thanks for the heads up though
  8. Trailer hook EVERY time I throw a Buzzbait...I have learned that lesson the hard way.. Sometimes I will throw a boogie tail style bait on the back or take the skirt off altogether and put on a soft swimbait
  9. That looks like a nice alternative to the LC Pointer Minnow
  10. They used to be my secret bait :-/ I love throwing them wacky under docks...killer bait Good thing my other secret pitching bait by LF is still somewhat unknown
  11. Your right, the SS hooks are very weak and do damage to the fish. I replace all the SS with triple grips/stingers
  12. @pgersumky How do those compare to the MattLures series?
  13. NorthStar Swim jig in "New Gill"

  15. Pointer 78's and 100's X-Rap's
  16. Hands down my go to square bill crank when the bite is hot...I say that because it has a wide wobble to it that has it's time and place. When I want a more subtle wobble I will turn to the DT flat.. All in all, spend the extra few bucks, you will not regret it.
  17. x2 on the SK 1.5/2.5. This bait as everything you need to get bit in the conditions you mentioned. The silent, darting action, will help portray a bait fish, without the fish knowing hes going to get a mouth full of treble. Below are a few colors I thought would excel:
  18. Spend a few bucks more and get Bully WA frogs, you wont regret it.
  19. If you are asking specifically about the line, I would suggest 6 lb Seaguar Invisx
  20. I will never touch a booyah product again...Everything they make is absolute junk. I wouldn't make this staitment if it has happened a couple of times, but once it starts happening to everything from their spinnerbaits to buzzbaits to jigs, you know there is a problem with the brands quality. I'm not a big chatterbait fisherman so all I have really used is the original chatterbait...Has anyone used the Revenge or Phenix baits?
  21. They are a great rod at that price...I currently have a 7' H for pitching jigs around heavy cover.
  22. Lets just say my best days fishing smallies on the river are thanks to this bait. The bait you posted and the bait he's talking about are two different baits. Yeah I didn't catch that.....I have a few of the shads, but they don't see the water that often.
  23. Aren't these rods amazing?? I bought the 7'6" MH for deep cranking and couldnt ask for a better rod for this application.
  24. How much did they pay you to say this? Im jk x100 on the Curado
