  1. I cant even catch a cold through the ice let alone a 6 lbr!
  2. It usually comes down to water clarity for me. Obviously when its dark/dingy water conditions I pick up a rattling crank, and vice versa. Also I exclusively fish rattles with deep cranks. I feel that the fish in that deep part of the water column are more incline to hit a bait with noise/rattling. A lot of that thinking comes from my experiences using both.
  3. I like watching realistic shows, not Dance fishing his own privately stocked ponds.
  4. I was just gonna mention that! That joker is worse than Roland could ever be! By far the most annoying and worthless"fishing"show ever created. And How is it a university? The only thing i have ever been taught is how to promptly change stations! : We have also learned that Charlie is deaf. Everything the co-host says has to be repeating...soooo annoying
  5. Any Roboworm
  6. :-? I think thats the first mention of Wave baits in a positive light on this board! I do like there tiki monkey though!
  7. Great bait. I actually prefer them over senkos
  8. Anyone from the Minnesota area interested in teaming up for a few tournaments this upcoming year? Thanks, VC
  9. I might be getting the 7' 6" MH for deep cranking. Anyone have experience this this rod?
  10. x2, but I don't fish as much rock as the rest of you. Minnesota is overrun with vegetation.
  11. I have plenty of the jr. size, but I was wondering who uses the larger version? Do you find it necessary to have some of larger models.
  12. 95% of my jig fishing is done without rattles, but I think they should be an option that a customer can add if they wish.
  13. Very true. Most anglers cant deal with the slow pace of jig fishing, and in return they lose out on potential fish. Patience is the most important aspect of jig fishing.
  14. jigs are my go to bait, and like Carrington said you are missing out on fish if you are not throwing them. I know every bait has a time and place... Where do Jigs Shine? Versatility is why I love jigs so much. Fish them shallow, deep, swimming, pitching, flipping, topwater, etc....There are two baits that anglers get very frustrated with (jigs and cranks), and a lot of this has to do with lack of patience. Fishing a jig for the most part is a slow and steady technique, which anglers don't always like. My advice would be to just stick with it until you gain the confidence necessary to call it a "go to" bait.
  15. When are they finally going to put up an online store?? I have heard at least ten different dates that have all been delayed.
  16. Another vote for the Zoom products. 20 packs for around $3 cannot be beat, especially when it comes to the trick worm
  17. http://www.316lurecompany.com/ I haven't thrown many wake baits, but so far I like the Xcalibur and the Norman wake bait
  18. LOOK AT THAT PRICE! I'll stick with Owner Stingers
  19. Trick worm. Good thing they come in 20 packs!
  20. It just seems a lot more convenient...going to have to try it out this year.
  21. Hamby, Try focusing more on 4" or 5" hollow belly swimbaits. They are a great size for the fish we have here in the midwest, and aren't going to hurt your wallet.
  22. I only have a few revo's, but I like them more for casting. I prefer Curado's for pitching/flippin. You can get reel grip handles just about anywhere now, but if you want to go right to the source here is the link. http://www.reelgrip.com/ BTW I'm assuming the reel is an '09 correct?
  23. I read a few people using tape instead of mono for backing, is this a widely known thing to do? This is new to me, but sounds interesting.
  24. "I'm going to win today because I'm better" creative :-/
