  1. Well deserved Chris! It's about time people hear about the best jigs in world!
  2. Lipless cranks I think are the hardest lure to gain comfidence in just because there are times when you will smack em, and then go a week without a bite..Like Franco said, go with with YOU think will put them in the boat.. I stick with Aruku Shads and Rattlin Vibes
  3. There aren't on the site yet, but here is a preview on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/NorthStar-Custom-Baits/132601386796834
  4. If you are looking to add another rod to your arsenal I would say add one with a little more power for spinnerbaits and larger profile plastics...look at adding a 7' Fenwick MH HMG and pair that with a citica..I know this is double your budget, but I would recommend saving your money until you can afford something a little better, trust me it is worth it you don't want to skimp on your tackle..
  5. For pure excitement, there's no beating a Sammy or a DD22 For numbers, Trick and finesse worm
  6. I see my favorite topwater bait, bass pattern Spook
  7. Depending on where the fish are located, either a deep little N or dd22 in Chart. Blue
  8. Yeah I said it!! Stopped by my local GM to get a few dt's and the bait monkey got me...GM is discontinuing the LC series and everything is 40% off..I ended up getting 3 sammy's and 4 pointers for a little over $60....Just thought I should pass it on.. BTW sorry to everyone who had already reached their limit of spending for the upcoming year ;D
  9. I usually just nose hook them, but you can try wacky...Try deep weedlines parallel to drop offs
  10. Like others have said, their crank baits are garbage, so don't get your hopes up with those...their jerbaits and hunting dogs are primarily all I use from them...you will like the jerkbaits
  11. NorthStar Hair jigs are great in cold weather... Also like RW said, throw a lot of bigger profiled moving baits..Those females are going to be done spawning and ready for a big meal!
  12. I would recommend using stingers or triple grips instead of the ss hooks...I have some nightmare stories about ss hooks snapping on big fish..They can also do some damage to the fish with the extended hook getting caught in the gills/throat.
  13. If it will help your confidence in the bait then do it...I personally have never seen a difference in hook ups. If I have some extra red trebles, I will throw them on the back of a bait
  14. Same as every other plastic: Watermelon Watermelon/Red Black/Blue
  15. :-X They are my secret bait! First off, you can't beat the price. The quality of the baits obviously isnt as good as the higher end brands, but the action of the baits is very comparable. Another aspect I love about these baits is the color selection, they have some very unique colors that bass cant resist! Here are a few of my favorites:
  16. Correct! Those are all of my new NorthStar hair jigs
  17. Here is most of what I got for the upcoming season:
  18. K well then the name is wrong, but I do know they have a new line of spinnerbaits that are currently being sold at mh local gm
  19. Have you fished Normans? For that price range, you are going to have these issues. Some of the cranks are going to be worse then others, but if you don't want to tune after every fish, move up to the dt series.
  20. The t-1 series has been discontinued, they have been on sale for awhile now. They have released a new line of I believe is called the t-2 (name could be wrong), I saw them for the first time at GM.
  21. Defective? You must be thinking of another crank, because that is one thing you can count on from EVERY dt you take out of the package..
  22. I've only used the 4.5", have you tried the 6" weightless? Hows the action?
  23. Cotten Cordell had a line of cranks just like that...I have a few I would be willing to trade... PM sent
  24. Another one for the squirrel tail
  25. Where's RW? Try bottom bouncing this bait 8-)
