Brett Favre Celebration Day!!
I'm not saying he doesnt like it, of course he does. On the other hand the media makes everything way more intense then it needs to be. In the last two years there have been dozens of "breaking stories" that reporters have either made up or assumed to get people to watch/pay attention to their story. For instance this year ESPN broke a story regarding someone heard that Favre texted people saying "he might retire". Really....that's a story?? The guy doesnt ask for all of the attention, its just blood sucking reporters wanting attention and to get recognized.

Who said it was difficult...

Muskies are hitting this year!
Gotarheelz, I'm telling you right now you need to take a trip up to Mill Lacs, MN and go on a guided Muskie trip at least once in your life. You will catch some HUGE 50 in muskies, but i am warning you once you catch one you will be hooked. The fight is one of a kind.

Brett Favre Celebration Day!!
Well if it wasnt for ESPN and all the major networks making up stories every week that make him look like a pre-madonna then there would be more people that loved him as much as the whole state of MN

Muskies are hitting this year!
I have caught 8 muskies in my life and 3 of them have come this year, including 2 that have broke off! I caught this one on a deep crankbait (of course). One thing i do know is that i need to give me girlfriend some netting lessons.

Brett Favre Celebration Day!!
In honor of the "silver fox" returning to the Minnesota Vikings i decided to throw the crankbait shown below, and boy did i smack em. I caught well over 10 including 2 pike within 3 hours. All in all Brett Favre can do everything, including making the fishing amazing the day he decides to return!

How to fish a crankbait?
Could not have said it any better. Also work on your retrieves. Focus more on your technique then the colors/brands that you are throwing.

Possible 7 LB Bass... 2010 PB forgot the scale
Could be a 7. You said in your signiture your PB Bass was a 23 inch bass with a 13 inch girth that weighed 6LB 7oz which you obviously weighed. This bass that I caught was 22 which is an inch shorter but I am sure the girth is more than 13. This fish was fat. My bass was probably around the same weight as the fish in your signiture I would say.. shorter length and bigger girth. There are so many variables that go into it, but yours looks like it has a lot more girth then mine.

First musky and some questions
The fish of 10,000 casts is what they like to say in MN. Don't be afraid to get your hand up into his gill plate and hold on, i have never been cut by a muskie. Also im sure he lived, i had the same thing happen last week because he slipped out of my hands.

Curado 50
I wouldn't be too depressed about that. Sure, it's a decent reel but nothing really 'special' about it. Totally agree. Don't get me wrong they are great, but they get a little over hyped around here.

Any Musky Fisherman on here???
I have a 7'6" Quantum Aliance H power rod. I like to throw deep diving crankbaits, topwater walk the dog lures, and anothing that is bright and has good movement.

Not a good day
Last summer i was fishing out on my lake. I tossed my worm out and once it hit the water my dad called. In any other circumstance i would have waited to call him back, but i needed to take it. Next thing i know my rod gets takin into the water by a big ol' bass.....lets just say i have been there.

Fishing a point
Take a DT20 crankbait and throw it on the edge of the point and work it down the side. That will cause some great actions that fish cannot resist. Watch this video:

Curado 50
I too never fished a Curado until I got a 50. Very nice reel. Still have my Daiwas and Revos, but I think now that I have fished a Curado, there may be a few more Shimanos in the future. Maybe time to sell the Revos. I'll take them......seriously

crankbait depth question
The lakes that i crank in the Minneapolis area are usually full of weeds. I actually like to start out deep and work my way in, so if i am going to fish my DT20 or DD22 i will go out to about 25' water. I then get an idea of how tall the weeds are by throwing a few casts and feeling for the top of the weed line. Once you get a few casts where ur tickin the top of those weeds but no getting hung up is where you are going to get him. Also do not be afraid to stick that rod in the water a few feet to get even farther down if needed. BTW the weeds around here are usually about 5' tall so i just add that to the depth of the bait. TO achieve the accurate depth of the bait i would use P-Line CXX or CX 10# test.

Anyone thrown one of these with success?
Are these different then the hot lips express baits?
-
Holy Smokes this thing is HUGE!!!
Honestly, why does it matter? The bigger profile lip the deeper it is going to run. I prefer bigger cranks because they are going to produce bigger fish in most cases.
