  1. What size do you guys usually throw? I know there are different weights, but I never think twice about it when making my purchase. Thanks, VC
  2. Chartreuse/Blue back hands down
  3. I am looking to fill these two techniques: 0'-10' depth crankbaits flippin rod I have an opportunity to buy two Dobyns rods the fill these techniques, but they aren't necessary the power that a majority of people use. The two rods are: 0'-10' crankbaits-Dobyns 705cb (MH power) flippin stick- Dobyns 765 flip (MH power) If you have used these rods let me know your opinion! Thanks, VC
  4. Hey Vinny , he's been fishing longer then you've been alive . He's probably got equipment older than you. Got ya. Misunderstood the situation Congrats!
  5. Every single one of my reels is a Shimano execpt one Revo which I got because of the Wiley promo
  6. Tried snaps and don't like them either. I dont like the palomar as much as the san diego knot...I used this knot the whole summer and never had one break off...even when catching muskies
  7. This is only the beginning. I hope for your sake you have a steady income.
  8. Jigs, jerkbaits, and tight-wobble cranks That usually is all you will need in fall
  9. I actually didn't really have a choice because i got them through the Revo promotion. Im not saying they are a terrible product, but I think they definitely missed an opportunity to make them alot better.
  10. Oh sorry I thought I mentioned the model, but its the Zaks. Ive been looking for awhile so im assuming this isnt an option, but it should be! This drawback defeats the purpose of having polarized because i cant see structure, which was why i bought them. Pretty disappointed in this product
  11. So awhile back I got these glasses, while you can tell they are a great quality lens, I couldnt help but be frustrated with how much light gets in. Does anyone know of a foam attachment for this model to help with this problem? Thanks, VC
  12. Full grip for casting. I like to get that extra few feet by having two hands on the rod and chucking. With split it isnt as comfortable to have both hands on the handle
  13. x2 i use 7/0 as well. I think its a great size for the size of plastic. Wow I have never used that size hook for anything....Guess I havent needed to yet.
  14. Just upgrade your size hook to a 5/0. Other then that i dont fish them any differently. I usually use 10" worms on days where the fish are very active, because in these situations I feel as if I have a you have a better chance of catching quality fish even though thats not always the case.
  15. Anyone use this topwater? How is the action compared to a spook? Thanks, VC
  16. Ghost white...Night is obviously the time of the day when you need your bait to POP the most. Whats better then all white? Like others have said its also a confidence booster!
  17. Anyone used this bait? What do you guys think? Also for those who have used it, what size do you like? the 3/8 oz or the 1/2 oz? Natural matte or metallic gloss? Thanks
  18. Me, too! 8-) Indeed. I like the design of the Yum dinger with the slot. I adjust for what I'm throwing it into though. Only if they had that on a better bait! LOL Dingers work great for me... Better as far as durability or just in general? Not sayin' there my favorite or anything. Just wondering. They have never worked for me...Im thinking its because of the stiffness. It doesnt wiggle as much on the fall compared to GYS or even Cabelas stick baits.

  20. There are at least 15 natural/dark colors!!! Dont get overwhelmed by color selection, it is a very small part of fishing. I simply throw a green pumpkin in clear/sunny days and blue/black on overcast days. They have so many colors so that they can trick people into buying them all
  21. 3rd isnt bad!! I know what you mean. We had 80's in MN, but for some reason i had one the best days of the year numbers wise.
  22. Cabelas E-Glass 6' M spinning rods on sale for $4.48!! I have never seen this low of a price for a rod...Even though it retails for $25 this is a steal. I needed a backup drop-shot rod so this is perfect!
  23. Yea i dont understand why you need a replacement now. I have only broke one pole in my life. Dont expect it to happen very often and take care of your equipment. As far as the the your question. You cant go wrong with either, but i prefer Dobyns over Loomis. Better customer service IMO as well
