  1. i doubt it. its possible youre softer on your baits. Your right I don't fish many rock piles, but mostly vegetation. Even with that said I still have never had one break...just saying
  2. That's the only way I have heard of them breaking..
  3. Well apparently the 50+ dt's that I have were built differently then everyone else's :-/
  4. Try sllloowwiinngg down and using hair jigs. Check out North Star custom baits, they make the best hair jigs around
  5. Get a variety of sizes and depending on the weather conditions, choose the lightest you can get away with. I like a more subtle presentation so I like a 5/18 oz. Personally I like gander mountains (Idk if you have them) shaky heads, great quality shaky jig, otherwise try Picasso shakedown As far as plastics, the possibilities are endless! But sometimes a basic roboworm finesse worm is the ticket Btw GO BIG RED!
  6. I can honestly say I have never used this type of crankbait. I have heard this attribute helps in pressured areas. I live in MN and I don't consider this area to be pressured. Are there another benefits? Thanks, VC
  7. Netbait Baby paca craw/chunk Berkley chigger craw Strike King rage craw/baby rage craw These are all you need
  8. How much off is the black Friday sale?
  9. i realized that this is the exact point i'm trying to make... rapala keeps coming out with all these new "innovations" and such when their classic models truly work the best. its just not necessary. I get what you are saying now, but I feel as if they arent doing it on a huge scale. They are coming out with newer style baits such as the x-raps, clackin raps, etc, but they still have a lot of the classic features associated with Rapala
  10. I dont understand why everyone is so down on DT's. They have produced the most fish for me and I have never had a problem with durability....Maybe it has to with with brand loyalty, but they will continue to be my go to crank until I find a reason to switch.
  11. Why fix something that works? Rapala has never conformed to the notion that the newest technology is going to be the best, and that is what keeps me coming back. They focus on the aspects of the lures that make a bigger impact on catching fish such as quality, and less on the secondary aspects such as color. Have you ever had a Rapala out of tune when you take it out of the package? Exactly...
  12. Great, more colors is the last thing I needed!
  13. Sorry I didn't clarify....rod handle
  14. I forgot where I can purchase handle grips. Are there some that are better than others? Thanks, VC
  15. You might be able to find a Fenwick HMG for under a $100
  16. River2sea Bully Wa is my go to frog bait
  17. We are having crazy weather here in Minnesota. Last year by this time it had already snowed numerous times, and this weekend is going to be in the high 50's! I think I have said "this is my last time out" at least 5 times so far
