  1. Notice that NORMAN BB? haha
  2. Exactly....Most of the time bass inhale the bait, so right when you feel that tap go through your routine. Tip down, start reeling slack, let er rip!
  3. Thanks guys i will try these out and get back to you!
  4. I saw these long before either of the ones you mentioned. Reins Cross Swamp:
  5. Best JYHO. Correct ? Nope its proven! haha no i'm sure they all catch fish i have just had the best like with the DT's and DD's. Maybe its a confidence thing.
  6. Got a chance to go out today and got about 3 in a few hours including a pike and this hog! I didnt have my scale on me but she measured 20 1/2", im thinking about 5 lbs.
  7. Forgot to mention i like them when there isnt much to get caught up on. With the floating, if you hit a weed you can just let it float up, whereas the suspending excels with rocky bottoms.
  8. Exactly what you said...I like floating better, but when i am using suspended whenever i hit an object i stop the bait then continue with a rip motion
  9. +1 I like the Strike King Series 3 and 4 in Sexy Shad and Chartreuse Sexy Shad. Series 3 dives 6-8 ft, and Series 4 a tad deeper than that. I too personally don't see the point of paying premium for Lucky Craft cranks when there are much cheaper ones out there that perform just as well. Their jerkbait Pointers on the other hand, I sometimes contemplate getting, considering that most other branded jerkbaits that suspend well cost about the same anyway. ;D I don't work for Yo Zuri, but I really do love some of their stuff. If you ever decide to pay a little more for a good crank, check out their mag minnows and hardcore shad 60s. X-rap in the perch color produces more then any of my pointers.
  10. I disagree with the others about SK cranks. Personally, i think Normans are the best BANG for your BUCK. I agree that there is nothing better then that thunk and the fight when they are deep. Just keep exploring new ways and techniques to catching them. You are officially addicted to crankin, welcome to the club!
  11. My lake is growing wild with weeds and i have been fishing deep but am still getting caught up. What do you guys recommend? Pencil weights? Thanks, VC
  12. What have you heard about this rod? I need a new flippin/pitchin rod...Is this a good rod for the money or should i look someplace else?
  13. Nice. I call my son Netboy. It really gets under his skin. The "catch" phrase starts "Fish On"... "Is it a keeper?" During a tourney it follows with" ...G Dammit it's a musky (or pike, walleye, etc.)" I would never complain about a musky....even in a tourny
  14. Crankbaits ranging from 10'-20', preferably DT's or DD's
  15. I only fish poppers in VERY calm water. I like to pop and wait for about ten seconds. I know it seems like forever, but it works for me. I also like it throw poppers by weedlines.
  16. I am glad you brought this up because more then once this year i have caught fish on my first cast crankin and then i dont get any action for the next 3+ hours
  17. When i first started out bass fishing i learned to use t-rigged soft plastics, you should do the same....then add different techniques from there. If you try and learn everything about fishing you are just going to get overwhelmed and give up...take it one step at a time
  18. "About Frickin Time" hah
  19. It it helps the only spinning reels i own are Symetres....i have never needed anything else. They are not too expensive, but AMAZINGLY smooth at the same time.
  20. I always thought it was illegal to double fish......Congrats on the catch though
  21. I have a few packs and like them, but if you are looking for a less expensive alternative to Senkos go with Zoom Mag. finesse worms.
  22. LF craw tube is one of my go to pitching baits
