My Spro Frog got crushed
sounds like a pike they are every where up there Pike aren't generally hanging in shallow flats with pads, unless there is deep, cold water very close nearby. This time of year, they are deep, on outside weed ledges, and biting off bass anglers' jigs. x2

Need some advice taking fishing photos
I will definitely work on using the flash more on cloudy days. I think it just comes down to me wanted to get the fish back in the water so quickly i don't have time to experiment but i could just hold another object and try it out. I took my previous photo and enhanced it on photoshop

What lures to use at what times..
I think i one thing i have down pat is weather when it comes to color selection. From there i go with my gut on what to use but i always think there are other lures that i am not using that will produce more. I guess a lot of it is confidence as well

What lures to use at what times..
I have been bass fishing for about 12 years now and i still havent mastered this part of fishing. I understand it is the hardest but i know in order to make the next step into tournaments this is something i need to understand. When i get ready to go out i usually tie up four rods which include a jig, crainkbait, frog or topwater, worm. There are so many different lures to throw at certain times, depths, and weather conditions that i never know what is best for that specific time. So i am asking for any advice, articles, tips on what i can do to better understand what to throw at what time. Thanks, VC

Need some advice taking fishing photos
Thanks alot Bass_Akwards Here is one i actually caught today. I want the picture to focus more on the fish and make it show its true size. This fish was a monster but it doesnt live up to its size in the pic. The quality too is not that great. I had it on AUTO setting and it was somewhat cloudy out.

Fishin & music?
This may have already been touched on but Bill Dance did an episode where he answered this same question. The answer was that the water blocks 99% of all noise above the water. I personally love to put on some country. Country and nature go hand in hand

Need some advice taking fishing photos
I just purchased a Cannon PowerShot SX120 camera which i was hoping would take better quality pictures when fishing. I have used it would other nature shots and they are amazing but when it comes to this compared to my last one for fish photos there isnt much difference. Can anyone give some advice as far as setting i should try out? Thanks, VC

Jig strikes again!
I got this 5.5 lb beast jigging around docks today. I know topwater is the most exciting, but catching a hog on a jig is the most satisfying way to catch fish IMO.

Jig!!! What did I do wrong?
My thoughts exactly. Once you start killin them on jigs you will know when you have something other then a baby bass or bluegill.

favorite trailer or craw for small finesse jigs

Need some advice on a rod
So my 6'6" cabelas prodigy rod came with a guide problem. After thinking about it I realized i could use a rod for pitching jigs/plastics in and around docks and pads. I thought i could use this chance to get a longer and heavier rod in exchange for this one. The best available in the prodigy is the 7' H. I have read everywhere that a 7'6" is recommended but I dont fish in too much cover. Could i get away with it and not really tell the difference? Thanks, VC

Curado and Revo SX...What application for which reel?
Thats what i was hoping to hear...I have my braid on the revo and my flouro on the curado. Thanks
-
i need help on vbs on curado
start by having 4 brakes off and 2 on. Practice for a bit then put 4 brakes on and 2 off. This is how I have my BS set. It casts a mile while still giving great control of your spool

Cleaning my reels
I purchased all of my baitcasters within the last 2 years (Curado, Revo SX, and Prodigy) and have never really cleaned or oiled them up. I was wondering what the process is like to get them back to running at their highest potential. Thanks, VC

Which Shimano Reel is Better?
I was just going to say spend a little more and get the Symetre which is one of my favorite spinning reels ever made. Great purchase!

Revo/Wiley X promotion
Not the way I read it. It ain't no deal as far as I'm concerned. Nope, nice reels, cheap sunglasses. I was actually needling Dan. with complications. Another: will I be able to write off the full value of the reel purchase if the reel is for business use? Or will I have to deduct the value of the glasses from that write off? And what brand of braid should I use on the reel? C'mon Dan, you have the answers. ;D So the sunglasses in the deal are not worth going out of your way to purchase this reel? Im just curious because that is the one reason i am sold on this deal is because I need another reel and polarized glasses. If the glasses are not worth it then I will just wait and buy a curado
