  1. i wonder how they will do and sell knowing that its an eagle claw??i still cant wait to see what they look like but i cant see or get why they would put a 80-$90 tag on a eagle claw :-? ,do you know what kind of components they used?
  2. go with tghe 7' mh rod,cxx line all the way and either one of those reels will do fine but id choose the daiwa 153,whatever one has the faster gear ratio id go with but def. that mh rod.those swimbaits you got arnt giants nor are they heavy ones so you should be fine,if in the future you deciede to throw bigger and heavier swimbaits id get a 7'6" or bigger rod.
  3. hmm odd...i had a similar thing happen once but it wasnt a bottle it was an old round safety float but didnt screw up the steering while running,i couldnt turn the wheel at all lol.
  4. dunno maybe on your lake fishing is a fashion show, but i could care less about the color.if its quality equipment then its worth it.atleast i know my reels are on a good rod that i know wont fail on me or break in my hands sooner or later, more sooner.and as for the mojo @ $90 its a nice rod but comes with subpar guides,i love my mojos but however they dont compair to a c.stick.but you stay fashion forward with your berkley
  5. i still LOVE the jdm alpha ito R the one with the clear see through side plates, thats one snazzy lookn reel.
  6. traded it tonight, this carbon steel is a frickin wicked rod, loving the grip its unbelievably comfortable,i think this is going to be put in the "go to" rod holder.thanks guys for all that replied.still love my mojos but i think this rod has an up on them.and as for a kistler trade up program i looked into it,what they will do is you send them in your old rod and they will pro-rate it for you for a different rod of your choice.
  7. true the carrot stick might be a little gaudy but with the amount they have sold and as popular as they are i dont think hardcore anglers are concerned about what their appearance is using a rod,im going to assume youve never handled a carrot stick, cause if you did the color wouldnt matter to you,nor "looking like a tool" cause for the price those sticks are AMAZINGLY light and VERY sensitive all backed up behind a lifetime warranty, you have nice reels (the revos) why would you spend that and then go and put them on lowend rods? to me that would make someone look more like a tool then a revo on a highend "orange" rod imo.
  8. now that is one sweet sweet sweet lookn reel the side plates on that thing are way sexy.
  9. whoever told you that was smoking some serious crack ,i have a few for when my nieces come over to fish the local pond by my house, they are nothing special by any means, there just cheap sticks not ment for much of anything.they say you get what you pay for and trust me what your paying for and getting is NOTHING even close or comparable to a e21 carrot stick or a kistler(maybe an ugly stick) out of the 3 i had 2 busted, one with tips breaking off and guides falling apart the other with the reel seat.but like i said they are for 7-9 yr old girls who could care less i got them on sale for $15 a piece.youd be better off with a basspro or cabelas house brand rod.
  10. while they are AWESOME bedding baits in the shallows when the bass have post spawned and gone deeper then take the lizards to the deep )drop shotting,c-rigs,weighted t-rig) and they will still get nailed.what i do in the spawn ill use big lizards due to the bass covering their nests and in guard mode i find that with a bigger lizard they tend to go after it and kill it to protect the bed.when they go deep after spawn ill go with a smaller one and finesse it to them when they are slow and all mellowed out.but i still like my BIG worms.
  11. try a bigger hook,5/0,also one with a small weight in the front like a keel.and keep your rod tip high to prevent roll overs, also try slowing your retrieve down and use suttle jerks over pads and slop if your buzzing it in then slow it down a lil or give it random jerks to try and work out the line twists,if all else fails try adding a swivel leader to your line.
  12. bigger hook with small weight in front or get some of the double hook frog hooks.and when a bass slams it wait till you see them take it and go under with it then set your hook,or count to 3.nuttin like a topwater frog getting killed FUNNNNNN
  13. i have some of the aragons, dagoreds and girons.the aragons and dagoreds work great and cath quality fish, the girons are nice but if you fish them to fast they roll and do everything but swim, but i do like how they sink slow and when they hit bottom them just sit there perfectly straight.
  14. yea looks like my lil boy painted them haha and dunno what they are made of,im thinking pvc,but the video of them looked promising and i liked how it was nose down like it was eating eggs from a bed.
  15. saw these on TW and a video of them on another site. here to ask you guys if any of you use them, have them or heard anything good about these?on the video they looked pretty good pecking/mouthing the bottom and beds. http://www.***.com/descpageTYSWIM-TKS5B.html#pImage
  16. i like both types of hookers some do better what others dont ;D
  17. the bps by me will also price match off of bps online for you, even give you online sale prices, ive had a few guys there give me items for cheaper and when i asked why they said cause its on sale online.but i do think that bps rips you off online with their outrageous shipping fees.thats why i prefer TW for online stuff,or dealers on here.
  18. broaden them with this and be amazed,i love this "secret" lure of mine all my buddies ask me what it is and where i get them, lets not tell them though but this thing is pure amazing for me the Damiki Monster Miki,i use green pump and white i also pitch this it always gets hammed for me this and the space monkey are my go to plastics.if you try them hope youll see and expierence the luck i get with them...enjoy. http://www.***.com/descpageDAMSOFT-DAMM.html#pImage WOW!! A movie could be made, starring that creature. You could name it: "ALIEN IV- THE OFFSPRING" ;D ;D haha yea its pretty strange and gnarly looking but it works and produces quality fish thats all i care about lol.
  19. broaden them with this and be amazed,i love this "secret" lure of mine all my buddies ask me what it is and where i get them, lets not tell them though but this thing is pure amazing for me the Damiki Monster Miki,i use green pump and white i also pitch this it always gets hammed for me this and the space monkey are my go to plastics.if you try them hope youll see and expierence the luck i get with them...enjoy. http://www.***.com/descpageDAMSOFT-DAMM.html#pImage
  20. if he likes to fish fast id go with a ribbon tail worm over a senko, green pump. or white, start off with a 7" or so if he gets bored tie on a 10" or 12" maybe hell get a kick out of throwing a big worm/snake and bedding bass will hammer a huge worm in attempts to kill it.otherwise tie on and try a lizard with him.of if your willing to put it on for him a hollow belly swimbait those are ment to be fished fast and he might get a kick out of seeing it swim in the water.have fun and good luck, those dad son bass pics are priceless!!!!!
  21. my gramps uses an OLD reel and rod with a piece of conduit tied on lmao but he swears by it and tells us what the structure or bottom is made up of and go from there. ;D
  22. I am also not sure of Texposing. I always just Tx rig the bait and then skin hook it. Can someone show a picture? I probably do it and don't know the proper term. it means it is an exposed point Texas rig thats all.no hook point burried or anything
  23. a st.croix mojo for a kistler carbon steel???my buddy wants a st.croix mojo, only problem is just about all the places around us are sold out of them or doesnt have the size/action he wants.so he has come to me with an offer since i have some mojos not being used, he wants to trade me a Kistler carbon steel for one of my mojos, its a 7' mh,it looks snazzy and it feels good in my hands casted it a few times in the driveway and was nice, but just askn if any of you have them or know of it,i believe its a fairly new kistler rod series.should i trade or no? thanks fellas
  24. x2. The Pfluger Trion will be your best bet. This is the crankbait reel I have and it works great for me. x3..basspro also has the dave fritts crankn reel, thats an option to.extreme is good though to but id go pflueger
  25. i have a bunch of both, the action on the reaction revo bluegill is WAY better then the grion and i never had a problem with them, and for me the fish seem to like the snow white one the best,i do like my grions to but to fast and forget it its doing everything but swimming.
