Revo STX or Curado E7?
i have both and they are both great superior reels imo,but i tend to grab my stx more then the curado to me it just feels better casts alot better and farther and the drag is much better.i have a gut feeling that asking this question on here was a bad idea..only because this place is shimano haven, love this site and shimano, but thats how it goes in alot of the posts on here."no dont try that, try a shimano" we all see it.id go to the store get a feel for them and what it comes down to you,the brakes on the curado are easier (set it,forget it) the revo you adjust throughout the day but you can dial it in better for accurate pinpoint casts no matter the bait.TW has the entire revo line on a huge sale,id jump on those for that price.exp the revo premier if your looking for a lightweight set up.if not then the stx is the way to go.

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
somebodys "instructions" will only go so far and MAYBE work for you if your lucky...i wouldnt really use instructions off the net for a lake say 5 min from your house for the fact yea most techniques work on all lakes but for your lakes i wouldnt listen here id go ask the guys that fish your lake ones that you see there often.see what they are doing, what they are using, when where how and what times they fish and why.not only can they give you some nice info and show you how and where to fish and what to use/try but you can also gain a fishing buddy out of the experience.dont get me wrong the posted instructions on here work great and will point you in the right direction, take these and put them in your head but dont follow them to the T,go to your lake and ask those guys and implant theyre instructions in your brain.cause my lake is different then your lake, same fish but necessarly dont always act or do the same mannor in this lake or that lake.just my .02

Wake Jr
i use 30-40 lb braid for my big swimmers, sometimes with a berkley big game leader.but as for how to use it cast it out slowly wake it back to the boat over cover letting the ticking and wallowing action of the bait do its job,or dead stick this bait or twitch the bait in one place on the surface for explosive strikes. The key here is to let the fish tell you what they want. also you can swim it a few feet underwater on a fast retrieve.what i like about them and most swimmers When you jerk it, it will turn 180 degrees and look right in the fishes face

HMMMM......I wonder
3 years ago i picked up a bps saltwater(offshore angler) squid crank, its sort of big but i caught a 7lb bass on it last spring in Wisconsin.the one i have is hard except for the tentacles.tail they are a thick rubber.its clear with pink and red glitter throughout it.bass are garbage cans of the water, they will pretty much eat or attack anything they see as food or feel threatened by.i also have a few bags of these but havent used them yet http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_72334_151004000_151000000_151004000_151-4-0?ordProd=Y&CMID=TOP_selectitems#itemDetail another great saltwater lure for bass is SHRIMP..they kill those everytime, ive had luck with the DOA and creme shrimp and the shrimps from barlows

ABU REVO Brake Adjustment
yeppers...sometimes out of the box the "thumb" screw on the crank side for the side plate can be a little tight just use a screw driver the first time then hand tighten it from herer on out..but once you have it fully unscrewed (like rick said it wont pull out) then turn the side plate counterclockwise and your good to go.hope this helps.btw great reel!!!

Question about the new Core Mg50
i wouldnt be surprised if that reel has a nice price drop in a year,"halos" dont tend to do so well with our booming economy these days, our lovely car manufacturers could tell you this one.but id put money on it that the core will hit the $300 or lower mark in the future..near,\

which Daiwa spinning reel...
and my pflueger supreme xt 2500 is much lighter then that @ 6.5 oz. so nahnahnah haha. sorry, but you're not comparing comparable reels. the "25"-size pflueger is closer (but still smaller than) the 1000-size stradic, which in CI4-form is only 6.2 ounces. apples to oranges who cares...really..the dude wants a daiwa cant go wrong there id got for the sol or tierra.and he doesnt want a 1000 size reel either and 6.2 ounces .3 ounces you arnt gonna feel or tell a difference,i was just messin when i was compairing the 7oz to 6.5 oz that pflueger is right here http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0053583122676a&navCount=15&podId=0053583&parentId=cat20333&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20333&catalogCode=IK&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20333&hasJS=true the spool on that reel is a tad small but its not an ul reel its a standard size reel way to big to go be ul i think pflu. just saved that .5oz by putting the smaller spools on them dunno :-?

which Daiwa spinning reel...
The new stradic 2500 is much lighter than those- 7 oz. and my pflueger supreme xt 2500 is much lighter then that @ 6.5 oz. so nahnahnah haha.

Question about the new Core Mg50
x2.i love shimnao and the core is super sexy but not for that price...not when there are other reels out there that offer close/same or better at a lower price.i mean for that price you can buy 2 curados,or just about 2 of any high quality reel.and $380 for a $100 looking reel???? i know its whats under the hood that counts but eh for me ...no core this year, not with all the other options out there at lower prices...i guess shimano doesnt take our "economy" into factor anymore haha.either theyll sell or they wont, but for me ill wait for a price drop or closeout when they arnt selling.

help on a 7:1 reel
x2..well said..but most important....IT KEEPS YOUR LURE IN THE WATER MORE OFTEN due to the speed of it getting back to you and you being able to get it back out there in the zone faster and more often.more time in the water/strike zone=more fish for you.btw for the 2010 season 7.1 isnt the fast anymore..now we have 7.3

Skeet Reese Signature Series Tessera Rods
Yeah sure. He uses a Revo doesn't he? ;D \Do we have a Revo hater in the crowd? the only haters out there are the ones who dont have one or havent used them yet...either that or they are in denial because they just found out the revo blew the socks off their "other" fav. reel ;D
-
which Daiwa spinning reel...
welps if your sticking to daiwa go for the sol or fuego,i love my sol, the tierra is also lighter then the TDA you have.some other options would be if your interested is the new shimano stradic thats made out of carbon, sweet lookn reel.and i also have a pflueger magnesium supreme xt thats pretty light http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0053583122676a&navCount=1&podId=0053583&parentId=cat20333&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20333&catalogCode=IK&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20333&hasJS=true
