  1. saw some youtube vids...the med and smaller bill versions dont seem to have much action..but when i saw the vid of the long bill one WOOOWEEEE!!!! that thing has some sick action, order me a bunch from tw cant wait to try them out, thanks guys.
  2. u do know 13 is unlucky right....better jump up to 14 lol
  3. a rod/reel for each lure and lure color...im going to assume you dont have to many lures then cause otherwise youd have 200 setups (that sponser of yours must be pretty ligit huh : )uhh not to be an ahole but the fine ppl here at bassresource have outfitted the text boxes with a spell checker... and btw going out and buying as many rods and reels as you can..whats that gonna do for you??? besides make your boat probably take on water and you look like the local moron lugging your entire garage to the lake? or is this one of those competitions to see who has the biggest, best and most of ?i wouldt brag on here most of these fellas on here that help everyone out can probably out fish ppl on here with a zebco, much respect to those guys....its not what you got,but how you use it
  4. x2..i need to start weeding through the collection its getting a little out of hand ....god bless the baitmonkey.
  5. to each his own...maybe to some of use the g-blanks arnt all that special but i do agree with you on kistler!!! a powell warranty is one of the easiest in the fishing buis. what other company president will pick up the phone and talk to you personly when you have a problem or your equipment just broke??? not to many these days, the man behind powell does though.to me that right there shows something imo, just my $.02
  6. storing your reels in the off season with a tightend drag isnt good...it wares on the drag more and thay fail or go bad alot quicker.from now on loosen the drag during your off seasons..as for drag kits/replacements contact abu garcia or i have gotten stuff from these guys http://www.harborside.com/~alcgbor/page5.html
  7. t-mobile ... hold on ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D j/k..does look promising and free aps is a huge plus...iphone and apple dont know the meaning of the word "FREE" haha
  8. reel is fine but id consider going to a 6.4 or higher to avoid a lunker peeling line and going into a messy brush pile...AVOID fireline at all costs...and as for a rod check out a kistler carbon steel ($99) or a falcon original ($85)
  9. how old is the reel?the drag washers could be worn if its an older reel, could be dirty like you said (oil/wet).when you store your reels for the off season.do you loosen the drag b4 storing them?
  10. i keep seeing these on TW...tempted to buy and try them but how do they work, what sort of action do they give,i read an article in a recent b.a.s.s about a guy using these with swimbaits to give them even more swimming action. http://www.***.com/descpageAMSCROUNG-AMSH.html
  11. theres going to be a new app coming out for your iphone to use with navionics.ahhh technology...isnt it great
  12. i like their magic swimmers.and i also use the ones that are filled with the oil and glitter forgot what they are called.but the magic swimmers are pretty good.and the slimstick but havent thrown that in awhile.
  13. any of you guys use these swimbaits? are they any better then a reg. soft body swimbait?i know how they work, your line goes through the bait and then you tie on the treble hook..is this effective?i have heard they are on the soft side though,do they stand up long and take a beating or get mauled easily? thanks fellas, and you only get 1 to a pack right?
  14. x2...i also like to use a black/white swirl horny toad and a big 12-14" black worm floating on the surface.big floating lizards work wonders to.buzzbaits (the double buzzbaits work best for me at night).
  15. cabelas has some of those xml rods on a super sale,id also check out the falcon bucoo ($110) awesome rod.the carrot stix even though it cathes alot of flack on here i love mine,NEVER a problem and it gets fished alot and hard.im in the market to see how those new abu garcia vendetta rods are and handle when they hit the shelves in a few months. and btw i have some mojos and a steez...they are nothing alike and dont even come close to compair to the steez is a god like rod the mojo is jester of a rod
  16. even easier is get the zipties that have the holes in them for screwing down..but i always use the fuji's plus they come in some nice colors and fold down out of the way.
  17. i dont have those exact rods but i have a few falcons and kistlers, both are superb rods...but imo kistler has the better warranty.
  18. x2...your catching bass not like your going out to haul in sharks or marlins,no need to get super technical and waste your time dialing it in like that.
  19. got an email back from tw regarding the warranty..heres what they sent...Thank you for bringing this to our attention, the Daiwa Aggrest actually does not include a limited lifetime warranty. We recently updated the website to reflect that. We appreciate your imput and please feel free to email or call us with any other questions or comments you may have. Sincerely, Tackle Warehouse Staff so there you have it...and btw it looks like a decent reel i originally was sold on it to till someone brought up that its pretty much an updated and over hauled exceler at a higher price.i think ill wait this one out and see how it gets reviewed later on down the road.
  20. custom rods are great but powells are super fantastic rods,i love them.id take a powell no questions asked or any doubts in my mind hands down
  21. my buddy had 2 of those eels he got from a promo gig at a boat show and needless to say i cant wait for them i also watched some fishing show on direct tv the other week and they where testing the new eels, for both bass and redfish, and that thing was getting slammed one after another, just watching the show made my wallet itch for these baits, september cant come soon enough.the new rage shrimps also look promising.
  22. saw that to on tw..looked on daiwas website but couldnt find anything,i emailed tw and daiwa about this, ill let you guys know what they say when i get a response.
