  1. Calcutta 300D or Conquest 300 and 20 lb CXX.
  2. It's a walk the dog bait, like timsford said. I don't know what you mean by "skimming," that's just the name of the bait. Just walk it like any other walking bait. I saw the video you posted in the other thread. The guy is just walking it really fast. It looks like he's going so fast that the bait is coming out of the water and skipping on top of the water. I guess you could call that skimming. Just walk it as fast as you can if that's the action you want to get. Watch how he is working the rod.
  3. I don't remember there being any learning curve. I started at 10 or 12 and never put it down. I still get backlashes, it's going to happen. Use the brakes, that's what they're for. Don't make it out to be harder than it is.
  4. Nice bait. I had to talk myself out of buying one the other day. I haven't looked to see if they're sold out, too tempting.
  5. He's always lurking...
  6. If I needed a cooler every day or needed to keep ice frozen for extended periods of time, I would buy one. If you need it, it's definitely worth the money. I would also research and see if any other coolers are as good as the Yeti for less money before I bought one. There are several companies making that type of cooler now but I don't if they're as good.
  7. I'm in. Host - Espn or Yahoo Scoring format - doesn't matter Payout amount - $25 Payout type - Cash is king or I'm cool with tackle but it needs to be like 1 or 2 baits worth $25, not a bunch of random crap. I can send cash or do Paypal.

What do you consider a reasonable price?
  9. I will only be surprised if he says fluoro or braid.
  10. What line are you using Catt?
  11. Paper maps are your friend.
  12. To me, you can't go wrong having several rods with those specs. If you can get it for a good price, get it. I'm sure you can find some use for it, or sell it.
  13. The Daiwa Exceler might be a good reel for you as well.
  14. Hey, whatever works for you. I'm not here to tell anyone how to fish.
  15. A 1 oz or less version? lol
  16. It should not effect sensitivity at all, assuming you properly put a new tip on it. Losing length off the tip will make the rod's action faster but 2" probably won't be very noticeable.
  17. This is one of the things I'm most excited about from Icast. I'm a big Duo fan and this bait looks awesome.
  18. I usually go with a shad pattern or a chartreuse pattern, depending on water clarity. I will also throw a barfish pattern if I'm on a lake with yellow bass.
  19. Is says it has a wider spool but the specs on TW say it holds the same amount of line. It kind of reminds me of the old Black Widow and Trillionaire.
  20. Very nice build!
  21. This is my favorite as well.
  22. I think it will be an all around great moving bait rod.
  23. I am definitely interested in the new 736 Glass that they're unveiling at Icast.
  24. On a Daiwa catalog, lol. I'll be interested to hear your opinion of the 2 reels side by side. How similar are they really?
