  1. LOL great stuff! I had all of the original ones from years ago and they got sold at a yard sell by my parents. :'( Oh well probably not worth anything anyho.
  2. Nice pics. Wish I had some open water my way. Oh well soon enough. Oh and by the way those aren't cattails, that plant is an invasive species that causes huge problems called Phragmites. Yikes! I hate that stuff. >
  3. We have those 565 on several of our work boats and they don't even come close to my Eagle FishMark 480. They are not very nice.
  4. Plastic worms, but crankbaits are a close second.
  5. Hello out there!
  6. I didn't realize you can cut and splice a transducer cable back together?
  7. Wood stove is all I use as well. Keeps the house nice and toasty.
  8. This Thurs., Fri, Sat & Sun.
  9. Just wanted to know if anyone is planning on going to this show? It's in Suffern, NY.
  10. Very Nice! I love looking at Jon Boat projects!
  11. All lakes are different and need to be managed separately. That is one of the problems with the states. They tend to manage lakes the same as the next. The problem with many bodies of water is that people did not keep a lot of fish. And if there is only one predator i.e. LMB, then the fish populations tend to become over abundant and there are a lot of stunted fish. LMB and Pike USUALLY go together very well, but not always. You have to remember too that when a new species is entered into an ecosystem, things are going to change. This change takes time and positive results can take several years to happen. Tiger Muskies are often a good choice because they don't reproduce. If the stocking is not going well then they can be removed a lot easier then with a species that can reproduce. It is a shame that those guys killed all those Tiger Muskies. Not much for education or change it seems.
  12. Yikes! That is one big PIG!! Nice catch!
  13. Yeah, even though its and old motor, those are strong running engines. I had a 20hp on my boat when I bought and it ran very well for several years. That is until it died on me. :'( Hey, my boat is similar and I paid $800 for mine. ;D Anyho, put a deck in the back and some new carpet she is going to look good! Congrats and good luck with your project.
  14. Very cool boat! Nice work!
  15. The motor is a Minn Kota that I got from a guy off of Craigslist for $40. Works fine, can't beat it! Warm garage with a frig. full of cold Yuenglings!
  16. Oh yeah, I also removed the back seat and have 1/2" ply wood down with a pedestal seat. The seat is only 2" higher then the original seats, so its not unstable. I moved the middle seat back to about the middle of the boat and have another piece of 1/2" ply wood down in front of of the seat. Everything is removable that way it is easy to carry or drag to places. I'm still have some work to do, but it is coming along nicely.
  17. Still to small to for a deck. I use a 10' for small ponds and out of the way places. Here are a few pics. of what I started. I used that pin system so that I can remove it when needed.
  18. I would start with a weedless worm (usually a ribbontail), and work it over the tops of the pads, then I would work a Super Fluke, then a T-rigged worm (ribbontail or straight tail).
  19. Get up in there and try it out, you might find a new hot spot or just a place to have lunch. The baits the others guys mentioned are a great place to start.
  20. Pretty Cool to see! It was clear and cold here. Wish I even had the chance to fish. :-?
  21. Caught plenty of bass in stained H2O, but really haven't tried them in muddy H2O.
  22. Rapala original has put many fish in my boat!
  23. Cabela's because I get a HUGE discount there! I use to live near Nashville and went to the BPS often and I really liked that store as well.
