Anyone know what these plastics are called?
Not sure who makes those but if you want more, you might want to seek out someone that pours their own soft plastics and see if they will duplicate them for you. Or if you want to do it yourself, you can make your own mold for them and pour your own plastic. I like the looks of them. As for the snake, yeah havent seen one of those in awhile.

Lures you DON'T use?
I asked this same question on another forum. I have 4 different lures that I look back and wonder why I bought them. River2Sea Standin' Yabbie Zara Spook-2 of them SPRO Bronzeye frog-2 of them YUM CrawBug I never use these things. Maybe its confidence in the RageTail Shad or my jigs and tubes. I dont know. But all that money spent could have bought me a swimbait or two from Matt. :'(

How the heck..
If you are worried about not "feeling" the bite then you might want to use fluro or braid line. I personally get the sensation that a bass is hitting my jig hard as if to crush it. I've been also fortunate to have them take it on the fall and swim away with it so there really wasnt any guess work since my line was going to the side of me.

Mattlure's hardgills...... WOW!!!!!!!!!!
You get what you pay for, most of the time. I believe in the case with Matt's swimbaits you do get what you pay for. I have not been able to get my hands on some of Matts swimbaits as of yet, but I have yet to hear/read a bad report from someone who does own his swimbaits. And all I see is pictures of very nice fish with Matt's swimbait deep in the fishes mouth. Matt, great lures and keep them coming. Mrlitetackle, cant wait to see the fish you catch with them, Im sure you will be very happy with the results.

How possible is it to make a living just fishing?
I think it can be done but alot of sacrifices have to be made and alot of work has to be put into it. I see alot of people putting out there that it would take the fun out of fishing if you did it for money. Well my theory is, its something you love to do anyways, and now it would be your job. How many people in this country can say they love doing thier job? Not many. My dads been a police officer for 26 years and he tells me that he loves it and doesnt even view it as a job, its an adventure to him. He doesnt love it because he gets paid well or a good pension coming his way, its because he feels good about making the streets safer for his family and friends. Its fun to him. Just my .02 cents.

Favorite Jig Trailer
I only use NetBait Paca Chunks and they are laying in ziplock bags and sprayed with BANG! Pure Craw scent. I will usually match the trailer to the jig but from time to time I will mix it up and have a different color trailer on the jig. In the winter I use Uncle Josh's Pork trialers.

new bait with short video

JIG FISHIN!
I love to jig fish with fishing a tube a very very very close second. You can fish a jig all the time and works great around rocks, grass, sunken trees, etc. Dont be afraid to mix and match your trailer with your jig too. And keep it simple like with soft plastics as well when it comes to colors. But its that trailer that will sometimes spark that bite because it may be a different color or shade. Example, was fishing with one of my handmade jigs in black an blue with a match black and blue trailer. Well I changed the trailer out for a Summer Craw pattern by NetBait (I love their chunks) and immediately I started to get hits on it and turned a bad day into a great day. Keep with it and glad to have another jig fisherman on the water. Oh and I also would recommend using BANG! Pure Craw scent, it works great.

Not the favorite hot bait right now. Your all time favorite
I chose the jig, I never leave home without it.

Going Fishing today...need suggestions
I second that thought. Also throw where there are shadows, bass love to hide where the water is darker. Maybe its just me, but I've had my best luck with a YUM Dinger in ponds. :-?

Bass Triggers
I feel each bite has its own place due to the time of year or even day. Pre-spawn, looking to beef up for the exhausting process. Spawn, simply protecting their fry. Post-spawn, building the energy back up. Being that they will take advantage of the times of day or weather conditions to suit their predatory habits. Then again, its all theory.

Couple lipless cranks I repainted
its a kandy red and the lines were made with a silver sharpie, the kandy turned them a bronze color that made it stand out better. Then I put a pearl clearcoat on it. I've caught fish on it at Newton lake in Illinois. Nothing here in Indiana though.
