  1. I'd have a rage shad on one rod, and a cavitron buzzbait if you get to your spot with time before the sun hits the water. After that probably a good ole' senko! Any lily pads? That's what I would do, but I'm obviosuly no expert. And have never fished in georgia. Good lucktomorrow.
  2. i've seen it in a river near me. pretty cool stuff.
  3. i've used live salamander before and slayed the green sunfish for about 3 hours one day. never caught the same one twice. 5/0 hook through the mouth and feed it all the way through. good luck. IMO these have worked better than crickets, worms, and any artificial i have ever used.
  4. if you fish in the early morning or late evening i suggest the rage shads. they move a ton of water and really tick the bass off which makes for a better strike, in my opinion. that is the only rage tail product i have, but have similar worms to the anaconda, and i am going to pick those up pretty soon.
  5. I had this problem around the 4th of july and luckily had my jig heads and some sparklers sitting next to eachother. The metal ends of th sparklers worked great
  6. Thanks for the thread. I can't wait to getout there and slay them. I'm gonna go with a wacky weedless presentation, which I heard about from wayne. Thanks in advance
  7. sounds like the rappahannock.
  8. i'm boatless. any good spots that can be hit from the shore? i drive that area pretty frequently, and ive seen a spot on the other side of the bridge across from national harbor, is that where youre talking about?
  9. well, in that case- here's my sotry. i'm broke as hell, am working for a company that is about to go under. i ran over my rod/ reel (st croix with an abu garcia baitcaster) setup 3 weeks ago, and dropped my tackle box into the river and have rusted all my hooks. cant afford a new rod, or even new hooks. and have been using my wifes $15 shakespere rod for the past two weeks. oh, BTW its pink. and guess what, youngin? none of that crap that happend to me bothers me enough to come onto a forum and beg for new gear. enjoy the stuff you get from here, these guys are truly amazing.
  10. gotcha, so keeping smaller bass in encouraged there? reason why i ask is because i am strictly a catch and relase fisherman. but i always told myself if i had to keep a fish to help the firshery, then i would. and i actually planned on fishing there this weekend, thats why i ask.
  11. why put them in the livewell in the first place?
  12. were you guys out at aquia landing? i saw multiple bass boats fishing the grass lines, and one boat had three people in it. i was on the shore, and only had about 30 minutes to fish. i missed 2 fish- quite a few bites.

Open carry is pretty sweet. I actually perfer my smith and wesson sigma 9 to my glock 9. My .45 to come soon one day, but don't know who will make it. I wish Kimber. Ooo Kimber.
  14. Great topic, I've always wondered the same thing. Thanks steez.
  15. Thanks, rockville.
  16. bugspray for sure. i throw cavitron buzzbaits, neon/ black. black. and a black with red flake rage shad with less success.
  17. I'm gonna be fishing the potomac out of aquia landing and need some advice. I'm gonna be fishing the weed beds but its in shallow water. Maybe 4', what should I throw? I talked to some guy out there and said he catches about 10-12 per trip.
  18. Ps- you old guys are awesome!
  19. I *** you guys that have "throw away" days. I try my hardest to catch fish all day, but they seem to all trun into throw away days, but I do learn, and the next time I'm out I try new stuff. I absorb as much as I can here and apply it to my real life fishing. I have a lifetime to learn, that's all I can say on days I get skunked.
  20. Post pics of the finished product!
  21. How was burke lake?
  22. Hahahaha! Nice. But his statement holds some validity to it, I've been skunked there many a times. But my buddy pulled out a 6 lber there early July. It holds biggens. Good luck, michelle.
  23. All I need is to find a 55 dollar bill laying on the ground!
